Neither political party wants to address the fundamental yet unspoken issues inherent in any budget proposal: What is the proper role for government in our society?

We citizens better start addressing this in a hurry. And I mean citizens, not corporations who seem to be in control of federal and state governments these days.

His numbers are wrong. It is even worse then he states. If the spending increases at 7% it only takes 11 years to double not 14. I tried to find an e-mail for his office to correct that but I am not in his district. if anyone lives in his district send him an e-mail to fix the number.

As I said many times in this forum. National Referendum on major policy issues should be made possible. We have that constitutional right. We just need to build the momentum.

"...not corporations who seem to be in control of federal and state governments these days."

So far as I understand that is the definition of a corporate fascist state and I agree with you. That is what we have.

As long as both parties get the $$$ from the corporate "heads" who take far too much in salaries and underpay their workers and their investors, our "leaders" will continue to bilk the citizens of the country.
