Ron Paul is the only Republican worth a damn. Otherwise, just a pack of greedy, lying thieves. "Party of limited government", my butt.

There has been a great deal of talk in Washington about scandals lately, but few seem to understand that enormous federal budgets provide the mother's milk for every backroom deal, questionable earmark, and sleazy lobbying trick.

Should be repeated often!

Let me see if I can figure out the argument against Ron Pauls position.......He voted against the war, he used to be a Libertarian, he is a nutjob, his mama wears army boots. It was 9-11, GW had to spend like a drunken sailor to save our nation. The war on terror is the main culprit.

OK, there is no reasonable argument against his words, that is why there may be many people reading this, but will be very few replies. It hurts to think and then realize, that the Republican party hosed us, then said "call ya sometime".

The record on domestic spending by the Bush Administration and the Republican Congress leaves a great deal to be desired.

The only way I would cast another vote for a major party candidate is if Ron Paul ran for president.

I firmly believe Ron Paul is the ONLY honest man in government. Period. I voted for him when he ran for president back in 88, and would again.

>It once took 100 years to double the federal budget.

According to constitutional scholar P.A. Madison, this isn't correct:

1791 $4,200,000
1850 $41,000,000
1869 $372,000,000

Neither political party wants to address the fundamental yet unspoken issues inherent in any budget proposal: What is the proper role for government in our society?

We citizens better start addressing this in a hurry. And I mean citizens, not corporations who seem to be in control of federal and state governments these days.

The record on domestic spending and foreign aid and national security and border control and property rights and individual rights and national sovereignty by the Bush Administration and the Republican Congress leaves a great deal to be desired.

His numbers are wrong. It is even worse then he states. If the spending increases at 7% it only takes 11 years to double not 14. I tried to find an e-mail for his office to correct that but I am not in his district. if anyone lives in his district send him an e-mail to fix the number.

As I said many times in this forum. National Referendum on major policy issues should be made possible. We have that constitutional right. We just need to build the momentum.
