As long as it is the enemy getting killed, the count couldn't be high enough.

There's already a war there.

WTF are they gonna do? Unleash their nuclear sub fleet on us?

Lets make sure we use our distance as an advantage before they get ICBM's, eh?

Ya maybe Europe will get a bit-o-blowback, but guess what, they DESERVE it.

I wonder if we still have the 10,000 body bags in Iraq we needed for both those campaigns.

American military action would also have a unifying effect on the rule of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and exacerbate anti-American hostility in the Islamic world.

now, is this anti-American hostility from the extreme Islamic world, or moderate Islamic world or Islamic World period.

also, if they just bomb the oncrackistan, that leaves pi.sed of populace and military mulahs etc. that oil needs to be secured.

this will get out of hand.

[Iran would probably withdraw from the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and speed up its secret nuclear weapons programme.]

Is this a joke?

This is a joke, isn't it?

Do they honestly believe that the government of Iran is now moving slowly on building nuclear weapons, but would go faster on those weapons programs if attacked?

What stoner is writing these analysis pieces?

A major American attack on Iran's nuclear sites would kill up to 10,000 people and lead to war in the Middle East, a report says today.

I don't give a damn how many Iranians die in the attack, but I think the article is probably close to the mark, and it points out another issue that is easily overlooked, namely that this attack would have to be massive. We're not talking about a weekend surprise attack, followed by backslapping politicians appearing on O'Reilly. We're talking about an attack that would probably take a year to complete, and would involve an expenditure of hundreds of millions of dollars, as well as thousands of American lives.

The cleanest, surest, and least expensive way to do this, and perhaps the most politically acceptable, would be simply to use the a-bomb.

A major American attack on Iran's nuclear sites would kill up to 10,000 people and lead to war in the Middle East, a report says today.

Let's see now, a major islamic attack on a pair of civilian office buildings killed over 3,000 people and led to war in America and the Middle East.

Office buildings.........nuclear sites......., yeah, they're about equal.
