I wonder if she really believes there is a problem with monitoring terrorists the way the president is doing it. Or is she just grandstanding for her reelection?

If she's grandstanding for re-election, it will backfire. The NSA terrorist surveillence program is supported by voters. Every politician trying to exploit this is only damaging themselves and our country.

She said something to the effect "...you know, a friend of mine sent me an email about Martin Luther King being wire tapped....".

From the same group of conspiracy theorists who complain of a click on their phone line. I seriously doubt the NSA had anything to do with "Domestic wiretapping" of MLK. NSA does electronic interception of trunk lines, microwaves, sat channels, and other "stuff". They guy sitting in the white van listening to a "wiretap" is not in any way associated with the NSA - they don't have such job positions. One can only venture a guess as to whom Bobby Kennedy utilized to "wiretap" MLK, but I would stake money on it NOT being the NSA.

Considering how short we are on intelligence assets against a global network of infiltrators, don't you think that someone at the NSA would have objected to devoting what limited analytical resources we do have against, say, Michael Moore or Susan Sarandon?

The idea that the NSA has either the time or the energy to go after the political opponents of the Administration while trying to hold the line against Al Qaida is cute, in a paranoid narcissistic kind of way. It's not rational, though.

In this case we have a Republican idiot!
If the media actually existed as a responsible informed, educated impartial watchdog they would heaping scorn on such stupid stupid statements.

When will Republicans learn that they lose more than they gain by coddling up to the enemy? Heather is my representative but if she keeps this up I may let her see if she can replace my vote with two Democratic votes.

She associates MLK with Al Qaeda. If it wasn't okay to spy on MLK than it's not okay to spy on al qaeda? That's a sick woman there.
