They're just doing the business that Americans don't want to do.

As I posted on another thread(9 nabbed inside top-secret Dugway)...this is very bad! Click the links to connect the dots and see for yourselves!

Yikes!!!!

The process for vetting workers at one of the most sensitive military sites in the country comes down to trust of contractors, subcontractors and "subcontractors of subcontractors," federal officials said Friday, a day after nine undocumented immigrants were arrested at Dugway Proving Ground.
Contractors employing foreign nationals at the base are supposed to identify those individuals for additional background checks. But the discovery that nine undocumented workers were able to enter and move freely about parts of a base dedicated to research into biological and chemical weapons defenses revealed a troubling flaw to that system.

Now check the list at the bottom! Here's a sample...

l Oct. 5, 2005 - Agents arrested seven Mexican nationals working illegally at a Pacific American Service (PACAM) warehouse and distribution center for goods brought into the United States through the Port of Oakland. PACAM'S bonded facilities are located in northern California, close to the San Francisco and Oakland ports, railyards and international airports.

Now couple that with the news that a Company From United Arab Emirates Poised to Oversee Six American Ports Due to Sale, and can you say "Nuke a Seaport"?!?! But, I'm sure some OBLer or "Cult of Bush" type will be along soon to put our fears of our porous border to rest with platitudes, and a pithy homily or 2 about how wonderful the "Great Leader" is!

I won't post my usual graphics here, so there's no reason to pull this post...but gang...we are REALLY screwed, and it was a Republican President that did it! In a Time of War no less!

I don't understand how Homeland Security has anything to do with a business deal between a London company and a company in Dubai.

I hope this is a case of "keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer".

But this just sounds like a d-mned stupid idea.

As others have mentioned, I too saw this story on fox yesterday, and cannot believe someone thinks this is a good idea!

Thanks for posting this, maybe it will bring some attention to the story.

Unbelievable, when you think of the things that could go wrong -- in the fox segment, it was mentioned that it would be so easy for nukes to be shipped in this way.

We watched a movie last evening called "The War Within" about a suicide bomber who came to the US in, you guessed it, a cargo shipping container. It was a little slow at first but, the movie really took the audience inside the mind of a suicide bomber.

This is insanity in action. Even in N.O. where it is difficult to get enough workers for ANY job, this is ridiculous. I don't care if we have to pay high wages and ship people in from all over the U.S. or militarize the ports. Foreigners should NEVER be in control of the security of our ports.

That being said, it might not make any difference anyway. A huge number of the ships coming into the U.S. ports are foreign flagged (operating under foreign laws) and staffed with foreign crews. It is not uncommon for these crew members to jump ship and just disappear. That has been going on for years. I can't remember any middle eastern crew members. IIRC, usually they are from China, Russia and Philipines.

The problem is general ignorance that lumps all Arabs in the Same pile.

Some day the realization will hit that the reason for the Gulf wars was the security of America and it's strong allies in the Gulf Cooperation Council. The GCC is Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar , UAE and Oman. I would suspect that iraq will be asked to join before too much time passes.

I caught this on FOXNews yesterday... just a blurb... and nothing more about it today. I think this is insanity no matter HOW good/bad our security & intelligence is.

"...runs commercial port operations in New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans and Miami."

This does not mean that they control the ports in any manner, it simply means that they control the operations of their own commercial venture only.
