Cricket is easy:

Two teams of 11.
They toss a coin. One team goes in the other goes out, The team that is out has to get the in team out and then they go in. The other team that was in goes out and has to bowl the in team out. After that the in team goes out again and the out team goes in again each for the second time. This goes on for four innings in total when the team who bowled the other team out twice wins. Unless of course (and this is paradoxical) they score too many runs and they end up drawing,

How can you not understand that?

Played over 5 days, 8 hours each day, watching England in the sumer sunshine with good company and an English real ale is like the last days of the Raj. The peak of civilization.

kind regards.

I think the part I always get lost in is the parts about how the plays actually happen. The wicket the batman the gatekeeper ? etc.

Its probably not that hard if I ever watched it. But just reading about it never got me very far.
