Being "personable, genuine, sincere" are fine qualities, but they dont always translate well once you move up to national politics. Allen hasn't impressed me enough, beyond his sound bite performances. I'll be waiting to see how Allen's campaign handlers repackage him for the national stage. Allen's conservative credentials are gonna have to be clearly laid out for all to see. If conservative folk like what they see in his record and come to like the man, he'll carry the GOP nomination. Winning the general election is a whole different proposition.

Look, all I'm sayin' is that I've known and watched him for 20+years. The worries about his personality are unfounded.
