This year Germany will surely bash the US some more in their Karnival.

Is there this time a Karneval of the caricatures? Rather, the fools do not say - for safety reasons.

Hamburg - Diffamierend, tasteless, a church-hostile Hasstirade - Jacques Tilly had to sound itself after the Duesseldorfer rose on Mondays course in the past year some in such a way. The master of building of cars had represented on a car a scene, in the cardinal Joachim Meisner a woman on a heap of failure ignites, which admits: "I drove off". With reference to the freedom of religion and opinion Tilly defended and the responsible person "Comitee Duesseldorfer Carneval" (CC) the car at that time against substantial criticism from the catholic camp.

On a such confrontation with the world religion it the Duesseldorfer wants not to let Islam arrive in this year rather. Although it quite itches the car farmer around sculptors Tilly in view of the world-wide controversy over the Mohammed caricatures in the fingers. But the reason triumphs: It will not give a Karneval of the caricatures. "we will do naturally without representations of the prophet Mohammed", say Tilly. Even if the artist of the opinion is that "religious feelings from time to time be hurt must", white he that it does not bring anything in the present situation, to spread blind hate. "otherwise one still drives the moderate Muslims in the camp of the extremists."

In principle Tilly holds the opinion that "the Karneval must be able to treat everything, which stands on the political agenda". Therefore it would not do dearest also completely to take up the caricature controversy satirisch. The drafts lie ready for the conversion. But CC managing director Juergen Rieck speaks a call to order: "it will not give a Islam-critical satire." The topic is simply too delicate.

The Germans are proving what I have believed to have been true for a long time-

They will cower, self censer, be politically correct in the face of a Al-Kaddafi, pay ransom, they will appease and slither around spinelessly against those who will run into a disco and blow themselves up, as was the case in Berlin 1986 (La Belle).

They ONLY have courage to rip their mouth open against us. After all, we won't hijack their airplanes and fly them into some building. For sure there will be more Bush oil hegemony imperialism cowboy jokes, floats and lots more on us, but Islam? The cartoons? Maybe they should make another float of Merkel crawling into Uncle Sams ass. They’ll surely feel that is justified and it shows how they are no “stooges” of the US. Those big bad Germans. By the day I grow more embarrassed to be of German origin.

I suggest the Germans make lots of floats about the US. Please do- show the world what “men” you are as you cower against AQ, Libya, Iran, Iraq……..

"Jacques Tilly had to sound itself after the Duesseldorfer rose on Mondays course in the past year some in such a way. "

Amazing translation. Somehow, it turned what probably was a reasonably comprehensible sentence in German into total nonsense in English.

I take it this is some sort of computer translation, since nobody who speaks both German and English could write such nonsense.

This one's even funnier.

This translation is screwed. Write English or German so I can understand it.

This part translates very well. Mr. Jacques Tilly is brave enough to attack under freedom of opinion only the people and organizations he knows will not strike back.

A proper way to phrase that would be simply "Kommt rueber." 'ue'= u with umlaut.

A buddy of mine just returned from Germany yesterday . Here's what he had to say !!

" Sorry couldn't send any postcards. One thing I learned about Germany is once you have been there you wont ever want to go back. It was impossible to buy anything to bring home. All stores close at 6 oclock and nothing is open on Sunday. Its no wonder they drink so much beer, there is nothing else to do.The beer was good but the food sucks. I dont think they know what beef, seafood or chicken is. I must have eaten a whole pig while I was there. Well anyway I am back and damn glad to be. I would not recommend ever spending money to go there. The 2 best parts of the trip was knowing I was getting paid to be there and leaving."

What language is this written in, or is it a poor translation from German?

I don't have time for a "in person" translation. A machine translator is as fast as “cut and paste”.

While I am fluent in German and have some limited French skills, I use a "machine translator" to do this sort of stuff. Although it's a good idea to follow up behind the machine translator since it translates verbatim what is said, and figures of speech, syntax etc is different between languages. So the translation is awkward and it usually requires a human to “clean it up” to make it nice and smooth.

However, even in its crude form, one usually can get the meaning of what is said right from the machine translator.

You have two options-

1. Fall into a logical fallacy and attack the “form” and “presentation” of what is written.

2. You can argue the points and content.

One has substance and requires thought, the other is a primitive attack.

Understand?

Better?

Mullah burger for Bush, Cardinal Meisner as an inquisitioner – none of these themes scared off the Duesseldorf Carnivalist. But will we have a Carnival of the charactitures this time? Better not, say the organizers – out of Security reasons.

Hamburg –Defamation, tasteless, an antichurch (Christian) hate tirade – Jacques Tilly had to hear a lot of these comments because of his floats last year. The vehicle builder had on a float last year a scene on which the Cardinal Meisner was burning a woman at the stake and she had proclaimed “I had an abortion”. All this was to inspire freedom of ideas and religion.

For this sort of confrontation with the world religion Islam the carnival organizers would rather avoid. Although tempting for the car builder Tilly, “REASON” (That’s how the German left spins this) has prevailed and there will be no jokes of the charactitures. “Of course we will not display any images of the prophet Mohamed”, said Tilly, even thought the artist said that its OK to insult religious feelings every once in a while he does not want to spread hate with the present situation we have on hand. “Otherwise we will push moderate Muslims into the hands of the extremists” he said.
---
Personal note:

They make fun of Christianity, Catholics especially are a “fun” topic. They love to Bash the US and did so under every administration. Bush they have especially a lot of “love” for. But Islam, ohhhhhh Islam, no. reference Islam it’s a good idea to have "reason" over ride free-speech.

You see, in the end, it’s like this. We are their ally and we are reasonable. We abide by laws, conventions, etc. We are no sponsor of terrorism, are the founder of the UN, NATO etc and step in where we can to help after a Tsunami, earthquake in Pakistan, East Timor and act against threats like Iran, Iraq and Libya. The Germans today ONLY have courage against those who do not threaten them. They will rip their mouth open with us but will cower in the face of Iran. They will “silently” (History prevents them from being to open) criticize Israel when they can, at every chance they have, but will cower to an Al-Kaddafi and Syria. They will criticize a lot of people, except those who threaten them.

When was the last time you saw a German protest against all the Syrian intell murders in Lebanon? When did the Germans go on the streets and protest about Pan Am 103? Disco La Belle?......... But I assure you one thing - when we bomb Iran, they WILL rip their mouth open!

That you have a lack of humor is obviously nothing new, but to whine in advance about the Karneval in Duesseldorf or Colonge smells a littlebit like Taliban.

Although it is true that some of the interpretations are tasteless and not PC I would do everything (and I mean everything) to defend the right to show them.

What is your dream to punish those "insulters"? Shoot them? Put them into a dungeon? Roast them like chicken? Whippings?

Be careful not to transform into a mullah.

P.S.

You said: By the day I grow more embarrassed to be of German origin.

There is something you can do against it. Michael Jackson i.e. was embarrassed to be of African origin. Therefore he changed his outfit a littlebit:

Being once a nice coloured young man...

....he changed successfully into a non-African lunatic:

Come on - let's have a try to get rid of your German roots. You can go on the Karneval in Duesseldorf without needing a mask then to manifest your deep protest against German humor.
