El Segundo-based Space Exploration Technologies postponed the maiden launch of its Falcon 1 rocket, which was scheduled to take off today.
Known as SpaceX for short, the company had scrubbed two previous launches because of technical problems.
"After analyzing data from the static fire countdown, we decided to postpone the launch," company founder Elon Musk said in a statement Thursday evening. "The vehicle is being lowered for further investigation."
