The Same Episcopal Church that not only ordains homosexuals but makes them Bishops. O boy......

Well, one of these days, God will sort it all out.

We left the ELCA for Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and have never had one minute of regret. Our Lutherans for Life chapter is very active. We sponsor a beautiful pro-life billboard as well as a pregnanacy center. Lutherans for Life is a great group.

GOOD NEWS...

SD House Approves Abortion Ban
The South Dakota House has passed a bill that would nearly ban all abortions in the state, ushering the issue to the state Senate.

Supporters are pushing the measure in hopes of drawing a legal challenge that will cause the US Supreme Court to reverse its 1973 decision legalizing abortion.

The bill banning all abortions in South Dakota was passed 47-to-22 in the House.

Amendments aimed at carving out exemptions for rape, incest and the health of women were rejected.

The bill does contain a loophole that allows abortions if women are in danger of dying. Doctors who do those abortions could not be prosecuted.

mainline Protestant decline is actually created by decades of declining birthrates in comparison to those for conservative Protestants and Roman Catholics.

It was the mainline Protestant churches who pushed for the birth control pill early on. I think they thought that having more than two children meant you were not 'sophisticated'.

It is well known. Call the pension and health benefits plan and ask them. They cover pastors and anyone working for the organization.

Missouri and WELS are working too closely with ELCA to bother about such things.

I don't know what the SD senate political make up is. Let's hope they do their job. If so, it will be sending a death notice to "Planned Murderhood." So far, since Roe v. Wade, over 45 million souls have not had a choice to live.

You're right about that. Catholics for a Free Choice is nothing but a sham. They're sick, disgusting perverts hell-bent on destroying the Catholic Church.

"But we are on the brink of a de facto Christian state, and we should be very frightened for the future of religious freedom and diversity."

Imagine a church being afraid that the US is becoming a Christian state!

There will always be a Church, it's the body of Christ. We are those that believe in the Blood of Jesus, Son of the living God. He gave His only begotten Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sin.

Evangelical Lutheran Church in America pays for abortions

I would like to know if the Evangelical Covenant is doing something similar? They've got an uprising bringing in all kinds of mysticism and arguing about being "welcoming but not affirming" regarding homosexuality touting that as 'freedom in Christ' -- and I know they make exceptions for rape and incest at this point. I know they are softening the language against many sinful behaviors and are drifting severely from the Word rightly handled. Anyone know anything about the E Covenant's insurance practices regarding abortion?
