I have seen meadowlarks only once in my life. I usually keep a lookout on certain sections of a drive between central Texas and Houston..and was lucky to spot them on one such drive(Not the freeway part of the drive!)...I spy scissortails on the wires and hawks,too, on telephone posts...when I am lucky.
