He's really upset because his terrorists didn't come up with the plan to blow up the building first.

Probably because informing him is equivalent to informing the International Socialist cabal, which is in turn equivalent to informing Al Qaeda directly that we are on to them. Being elected to an office doesn't automatically justify being trusted with classified information. ;)
