Gay bogeymen don't haunt my dreams either.

I was raised a Catholic, have a cousin who is gay and I love her dearly. Several friends at my Catholic college realized that they were gay after years of deluding themselves in heterosexual relationships, engagement and marriage. I don't care what the science says, it was NOT a choice for any of the numerous gay people that I know, many of whom are devoted sole caretakers for aging parents and friends whose "heterosexual" families are too busy for them.

I also believe that our President has stated publicly that he believes that homosexuality is not a choice, based on the compassionate comments that he made during the twisted media flap over Dick Cheney's daughter.

Are Camille Paglia, Andrew Sullivan and the Log Cabin Republicans all part of the "Gay Agenda"?

Do heterosexuals not engage in sodomy, pedophilia and sexual acts that are considered sinful?

Zot me all you want, I don't give a rat's !#$%.
People are gay- it's a fact of life and has always been.

Your experience with & beliefs about gay people agree with mine, it seems.

And so far as religion goes, sometimes I think that some people seem to have taken the Pharisees, rather than Jesus, as their role models.

Actually the President said he doesn't know.

SCHIEFFER: Mr. President, let's get back to economic issues. But let's shift to some other questions here.

Both of you are opposed to gay marriage. But to understand how you have come to that conclusion, I want to ask you a more basic question. Do you believe homosexuality is a choice?

BUSH: You know, Bob, I don't know. I just don't know. I do know that we have a choice to make in America and that is to treat people with tolerance and respect and dignity. It's important that we do that.

And I also know in a free society people, consenting adults can live the way they want to live.

And that's to be honored.

But as we respect someone's rights, and as we profess tolerance, we shouldn't change -- or have to change -- our basic views on the sanctity of marriage. I believe in the sanctity of marriage. I think it's very important that we protect marriage as an institution, between a man and a woman.

JMO, the Prresident isn't kowtowing to the, IMO, stormtrooper mentality within the liberal psychological community and wants other voices in the scientific community to be heard, but who are shut out by liberals and their lackeys in the MSM.

One group that doesn't get any recognition by the modern day liberal stormtroopers and is constantly berated and never intellectually engaged is NARTH.

NARTH.com

So before you and Amelia go into your almost liberal fascist tirades towards those who disagree with you, maybe you shouldn't take in the liberal establishment, media, hollywood, propaganda kool-aid that the homosexual "lifestyle"(deathstyle) is normal.

BTW, can you show me a civilization where homosexuality is given equal status to heterosexuality has survived and thrived, you can't, and you know it.

I would expect that genetic differences contribute to different people experiencing different degrees of attraction to males and females, but experience and environment also play a significant role.

There may well be some males who are genetically predisposed to be attracted to other men but not women, and nothing in their environment could change that. There are probably many more, however, where the genetic predisposition is weak enough that experience and environment could cause them to go "either way".

If two grown men whose sexuality is already firmly established want to engage in sexual relations with each other, provided they do so discretely and don't spread disease, I don't care. But for them to target people whose sexuality is not firmly established is IMHO abhorrent.

If sexual predisposition falls on a bell curve, as I would expect it probably does, that would suggest that there are many more people who are weakly predisposed one way or the other than there are people who are strongly predisposed to be homosexual. So it would be clear why such people would be of interest to the homosexual community.
