Yes the current generation is bombarded with sexuality. As posted by somebody on the thread, GLSEN is in the schools and pushing homosexuality as normal. GLSEN pushes material that tells children they won't know if they like homosexual sex until they try it. What do you think of that?

The answer to your question was in the part of the statement you edited out.

I posted that in 380, from the article: GLSEN Encourages Teens In Anal SEX "Don't give up.". Here's the full quote:

Heterosexual or "questioning" youth are encouraged to try same sex intercourse because, the Kinseyin theory is repeated over and over, "Everyone's really gay or bisexual." and "You won't know if you like it until you try it."
It's some really sick stuff that GLSEN pushes. Kevin Jennings is no friend of children. He's more like a fiend.

I think it may be happening in places like New York or California.

I've never seen it in the school systems where I've lived or taught (which have been primarily rural in the Bible Belt, which might be a partial explanation) but I've seen enough "weird school news" that I don't doubt that it's happening in some places.

I don't know that it's very widespread. Do you know whether or not this is happening in the schools in your area, or is it just something someone said on FR?

In general I'm much more concerned about the sheer number of younger teenagers who are sexually active (whether heterosexually or homosexually), as well as those who are having children at 15, 16, and 17.

So far as homosexual sex goes, being lesbian is currently almost a fad among some young girls (especially those who dress in the "gothic" manner), but I don't see anyone getting too concerned about the little girls.

I've noticed that most of the male posters here claim that they would not have been persuaded to become homosexual, but they are worried that other people who aren't as "emotionally stable" might be.

I don't know. Maybe people who are that emotionally unstable ought not to reproduce anyhow.

I have a sweet man + woman = equals husband /wife.

I love that shirt. check rightwingstuff. Go to the politically incorrect section. I have the shirt I mentioned and 2 bumper stickers, the "Celebrate Hetero-pride" and the " Guns dont kill people, abortion clinics kill people". I wear that shirt at college and I just feel so proud. ;)

I share your concern, there was a big push in my church when I was young for abstinence. Being that I'm a christian, I believe in abstinence until marriage and I think its the best way. But you are correct that all sexuality is pushed on children to the point of grotesque. Sex has become to cavalier amongst kids, it is no longer sacred, shows like sex and the city are a complete travesty. Heterosexual sex is an issue that needs to be dealt with as well. I know for a fact that abstinence is completely plausible, and I'll hop back on here later this year after my wedding and tell you if I think it was worth waiting.

I agree, girls are "experimenting" quite a bit these days, a lot of times because the guys encourage her (whats better than one hot girl?? 2 hot girls). You wouldnt believe the number of "good lil girls" that go to college and make out with other girls or worse because some guys think its hot. How many times have you heard "hot lesbian"? I disagre, I dont think its hot. But there is just as much concern for lesbians as well. I think its overlooked a lot because AIDS is not as prevalent. I think there are a lot of reasons, but that is for a different thread. Maybe the one about that coach from berkley that had 3 affairs with students... All I know is, it would be much easier to view lesbians the same way you view gay guys if the movies only showed those shorthaired rosie odonnel types together, not the skinny busty ones they choose.

I've noticed that most of the male posters here claim that they would not have been persuaded to become homosexual, but they are worried that other people who aren't as "emotionally stable" might be.

My current state is a product of my life and upbringing. Had some other things happened and different choices been made, I and any one else here could have been tempted to be gay. I happened to have great parents, and I also happened to go to Key West and see the filth that is down there when I was disturbed by it. I do believe there is a "macho" factor in those comments. But extreme situations can make a lot of people do things they never thought they could. Even a series of small events can, Ted Bundy started looking at soft core porn and that led to harder stuff until it came to killing women and raping their dead bodies. Do you think the first time he picked up that playboy he thought he would ever kill a woman? I doubt it. With all that being said, I would never have been convinced to try out the gay stuff ;)

Thanks for the link. I knew someone would know!

Regarding the discussion on this thread, those who post comments to promote the normalization of homosexuality refuse to ever debate actual facts. Never never never. I've seen it for years. Some are more polite, some are crazed. But they're all the same.

They must have read "Homosexual Agenda Promotion for Dummies".

PS that site delivers quickly. And there is a lot of fun to be had by answering question like these about your purchase

"Why on earth would you wear something like that?"

"Where did you get that? I love it"

"That has got to be the most _________(insert adjective) thing I have ever seen..."

Its great.

To some of us, you're still young. ;-)

When I was young, there were perhaps more large "premature" babies, but officially "nice girls" just didn't have sex, and decent people didn't have sex with people they weren't married to, much less live with them.

Sex has become to cavalier amongst kids, it is no longer sacred...

I agree.

Yes, I think a lot of people find the idea of anal sex much more repulsive. There's one poster on FR who seems to get a thrill out of posting graphic descriptions of it from time to time. But the Bible defines homosexual sex as a sin whether it's between women or between men.

Had some other things happened and different choices been made, I and any one else here could have been tempted to be gay.

I might have believed that when I was younger but I'm not so sure I do anymore.

I happened to have great parents

Do you think there's something wrong with the way the parents of the "confused" boy in the story have raised him that contributed to his confusion? I still wonder if that's not what the father is wondering: maybe if it's the fault of the seminar, it's not something he & his wife did wrong?

Parents of confused kids often wonder if they've done something wrong. Check this out: Tips For Parents Who Are Struggling With A Child's Homosexuality:

It is not uncommon for parents of homosexuals to blame themselves for these outcomes, and though this is unproductive, they continue to badger and over-analyze themselves and their faults.

The material pushed by GLSEN is definitely "happening". It is happening where ever GLSEN is and seems to be everywhere. Of course GLSEN is not in every single school but if GSLEN is in one school it is too many.

I know it is happening in some schools. I know because I have read many articles on the subject.

LUGs (Lesbian Until Graduation) are a fad, I hope. As far as I know, male homosexuality seems to get more press time. It does not really matter to me. GLSEN should not be in the school encouraging homosexuality, whether male or female.

I can understand what some of the male posters are saying. Children today are desensitized in so many ways. Children seem to get more jaded every generation. I cannot say it enough, GLSEN should not be in the schools.

When GLSEN encourages male homosexuality, GLSEN is encouraging children to engage in behavior that is anything but healthy. No matter the frequency, should GLSEN encourage this behavior even once?

Kids should not be influenced to engage in any sex whatsoever in schools. The idea that "they're going to do it anyway so hand them some condoms" is tantamount to telling them that "you're just animals who can't control your sex organs so go for it".

What to speak of telling them that they should experiment with "gay" sex, which is what GLSEN does.

BTW, Amelia (I'm just getting back to this thread, I don't have too much time lately for FR) you never got back to my question - what do YOU think about GLSEN in schools? Is it a good thing? Bad thing? Do you think it should be allowed in public schools?
