Rep. Tom Tancredo (R.-Colo.) didnt hold back in his criticism of President Bush this morning at the Conservative Political Action Conferencedelivering what amounted to a presidential stump speech that could have easily been delivered in New Hampshire or Iowa.
Tancredo attacked the administration for its support of a guest-worker program for illegal aliens and its big-spending ways on education and Medicare prescription drugs.
It is the President who is out of step with his party, not Tom Tancredo, the Colorado Republican said to applause at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Northwest Washington, D.C.
Tancredo called for the repeal of two programs offered by President Bush: the No Child Left Behind Act and the Medicare prescription drug program. Both expanded the cost of government and drew the scorn of conservatives in Congress.
Tancredo said the Big Government policies of the Bush administration need to be halted. He said conservatives must return the GOP to a party of individual rights and shouldnt afraid to say it.

So what you're saying is that, like Reagan, even if Tancredo gets what he wants, he might not get what he wants.

So wait a second. I can't stop talking about him (alledgedly) yet that makes it so that "my panties are in a bunch"?
Lay down the crack pipe.

He's rallying their support, and you can't stand it.
So when is he going to crack that 1% barrier? LOL

The vast majority of voters agree with his position on illegals. He's rallying their support, and you can't stand it.Oh, yes, he's just super duper popular with the electorate. Why everybody loves Tancredo. I'm sure at least 1% of the population might have some idea of who he is.
But he's working to change that. And if there's immigration reform in the meantime, well that doesn't matter as much as Tom Tancredo. (Which is the Mexican word for George Hamilton's philosophy.)

Unless you can come up with another reason why you can't stop talking about him. I just went with Occam's razor, but in the end, you know more about the reason for your problem than I do.

Is that an actual picture of the fence at the border?

Tancredo wrote his national political obituary when he spoke about "nuking Mecca". That quote was taken out of context by liberals in both parties - Tancredo was responding to a hypothetical scenario.

The vast majority of voters agree with his position. You can't spin your way out of that.
Just out of curiosity, why are you posting here if you think he's so irrelevant?

No problems here.
I think you have a problem in trying to diagnose my problem.

So tell me something. If the "vast majority of voters agree with his position", WHY can't he break that magical 1% barrier? Do you have an answer or will you return to trying to diagnose my "problem"???? If I were a betting man, my guess is you don't have a substantive answer too that.
There have to be options and candidates other than Tancredo. Sure he's probably good for 30% or so in a national election, I'll admit that, but I think that's about what Hillary would get too at this point. That's NOT a good thing.

If the "vast majority of voters agree with his position", WHY can't he break that magical 1% barrier? You don't have a very good understanding of how the media works in this country, do you?

ok sure thing. That's right, I don't know anything about anything. You know all I'm sure.
He still can't and won't break that barrier in any possible primary, except MAYBE Colorado.

Tancredo was responding to a hypothetical scenario. It shows a lack of judgement to respond to hypothetical situations with an apocalyptic remark.
I think it shows a lack of judgment for any politician to respond to a hypothetical situation, period.

The vast majority of voters agree with his position. You can't spin your way out of that.Yet he can't win a statewide race in his home state of Colorado.

You know all I'm sure.Same things that you know, but refuse to admit.
Anyway, if you really want to argue that the majority of people don't share his views, have at it. You'll only make yourself look like even more of a fool, but that's not my problem.

Yet you still feel threatened by him enough to keep bumping these threads. Have fun spinning your way out of that.
