Tancredo Throws Punches at Bush
Human Events ^ | February 9 2006 | Robert B. Bluey

Posted on 02/09/2006 12:18:44 PM PST by Reagan Man

Rep. Tom Tancredo (R.-Colo.) didn’t hold back in his criticism of President Bush this morning at the Conservative Political Action Conference—delivering what amounted to a presidential stump speech that could have easily been delivered in New Hampshire or Iowa.

Tancredo attacked the administration for its support of a guest-worker program for illegal aliens and its big-spending ways on education and Medicare prescription drugs.

“It is the President who is out of step with his party, not Tom Tancredo,” the Colorado Republican said to applause at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Northwest Washington, D.C.

Tancredo called for the repeal of two programs offered by President Bush: the No Child Left Behind Act and the Medicare prescription drug program. Both expanded the cost of government and drew the scorn of conservatives in Congress.

Tancredo said the Big Government policies of the Bush administration need to be halted. He said conservatives must return the GOP to a “party of individual rights and shouldn’t afraid to say it.”

I just know what I see on FR. And every single blasted one gets posted. I guess because Tancredo shells out the bucks to put 'em on PR Newswire.

Tancredo stands up for America and our sovereignty. You've got to be some hired mouthpiece for Vincente Fox and/or the Bush GOP elites. No one can go around making such outrageously stupid remarks and except to be taken seriously. Its just not possible.

The borders remain wide open. Over a million foreigners try to enter the US every year. Employers are still hiring illegals in direct violation of US law. And after five years in office, PresBush has ignored the illegal immigration problem. Bush likes the continued flow of cheap labor into the US and the Hispanic voters who might change sides and vote for the GOP candidate in 2006&2008.

Yawn.

WashDC-Beltway politicos, aka. CongressCritters, issue press releases all the time. Silly boy.

There's a very odd pattern among the whole bunch of them (not just AD) that holds that Tancredo is somehow doing something wrong by fighting with both fists. It's hard to envision more solid evidence than that of how threatened they are by him.

Probably more to do with the big banks, car companies, certain major retailers, oil companies, etc. whose lobby $ call the shots.

Thanks for the post. I'm glad Tancredo criticized the No Child Act and the Medicare Act. Just goes to show you no matter how much Republicans spend on these wasteful programs, liberals will still b!tch and say it's not enough or that the evil Republicans are cutting it.

I usually post from Human Events, NRO, GOPUSA, Brietbart and several other websites. Mostly conservative websites. I don't think there is anything nefarious going on. Tancredo's main issues are immigration reform, reducing spending and advancing limited govt. A lot of conservatives agree with Tancredo and support his efforts.

You don't support his efforts. Too bad, that's your loss.

He's "fighting" with both lips. He's not doing anything. He's throwing out his copy of Dale Carnegie, sitting in the Lotus position, telling everybody who will listen that he's right, he's the only one who's right and nobody listens to him.

And yet you can't stop talking about him. I'm sure there must be some kind of diagnostic term for this condition somewhere.

Reagan didn't support open borders. Reagan said: "A nation without borders is not a nation." Reagan did sign into law the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. It specified prosecution and punishment for employers who hired illegals. If that law had been enforced over the years, the IRCA would have turned out to be what it was meant to be, a one time amnesty deal. Period. Instead, the feds lack of enforcement led to a series of liberal immigration policies under Bush41, Clinton and Bush43, and the main reason we have 10-15 million illegals living in the US today.

Btw, grow up.

Wrong. He doesn't have to convince anyone. The vast majority of voters agree with his position on illegals. He's rallying their support, and you can't stand it.
