"I am a Muslim..."

There are two things about your post which cause me to be a little bit on guard. #1 - You just signed up to FR today to respond to me? #2 - You begin your reply with an insult: "why dont you do us a favor and stop sounding like you lack education."

I am not, nor will I ever be a muslim authority or scholar. I shouldn't have to study islam. If you want to, that's fine, but I won't. One of the most striking differences between islam and real religions is the idea of coexistance. Ann Coulter's latest article is very good in pointing this out. As a Christian, I don't care if you don't observe Easter, or Christmas. I don't care what religion you practice, or if you worship bricks.
muslims are very vocal about the inferiority of infidels. The Danish cartoon madness is an attempt of muslims to control others, and bend them to the will of islam. I would grant you that the majority of what I see are the extreme elements of islam. What distresses me is that I don't hear the "moderate muslims" denounce these people. There is real fear in the western media that observations, or books about islam that do not cast a favorable light will result in assasination attempts by muslims. This is a religion? Suicide bombers are celebrated... that's a religion?
There are over 1 billion people under the influence of this cult. It's impossible that all 1 billion are bad people. The best way to free the good ones is to destroy the cult.
Either you are blind to what is around you, or you're a troll.
If you want islam to be respected, make it respectable. Fix your house, and others won't feel the need to condemn it, and have it torn down.
The west, particularly the US is not 100% weak willed liberal. Some of us can, and will fight for our way of life. Freedom.

I beg to differ. Hitler was involved in the occult. Sitting in a church on Sunday morning doesn't make one a Christian, anymore than sitting in a garage makes one a car.

The Quran commands(Quotes from three translations of the Quran):

003.028
YUSUFALI: Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.

PICKTHAL: Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking (as it were) security. Allah biddeth you beware (only) of Himself. Unto Allah is the journeying.

SHAKIR: Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends rather than believers; and whoever does this, he shall have nothing of (the guardianship of) Allah, but you should guard yourselves against them, guarding carefully; and Allah makes you cautious of (retribution from) Himself; and to Allah is the eventual coming.

009.023
YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! take not for protectors your fathers and your brothers if they love infidelity above Faith: if any of you do so, they do wrong.

PICKTHAL: O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers.

SHAKIR: O you who believe! do not take your fathers and your brothers for guardians if they love unbelief more than belief; and whoever of you takes them for a guardian, these it is that are the unjust.

"Circumcision is not abusive or brutal."

I keep an open mind. It was done to me, and my sons. My last son, when he was brought back to the room had tears on his cheeks.
Now, I've been told that babies don't cry tears.
Also, there are some that would claim that we are the sum of our experiences. And just because you don't remember, doesn't mean it didn't shape you. It's possible. I'm not convinced either way.

There was once an excellent reason for circumcision, not it's not so clear. If I were a new parent, I'd have to carefully consider circumcision for my child.

That's what millions of Christians were slaughtered about in the late middle ages and Renaissance. They didn't believe it, so they were called "heretics".

Millions were not slaughtered. I dare you to cite one source that agrees with that number.

Quran commands to kill unbelievers:

002.191
YUSUFALI: And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.

PICKTHAL: And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.

SHAKIR: And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.

Quran commands muslims to fight with nonmuslims:

009.123
YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him.

PICKTHAL: O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).

SHAKIR: O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).

Quran commands muslims to slay non-muslims:

009.005
YUSUFALI: But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

PICKTHAL: Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

SHAKIR: So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Hello?
I just quoted some of the core values of the Quran.
Any commentary on them?
