Neil Entwistle has just been arrested in England on two counts of murder and one count of illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
A sealed warrant out of Framingham District Court was issued late yesterday for his arrest in the double murder of his wife and child.
Entwistle, labled a person of interest in the case for weeks, now faces official charges of killing both his wife, Rachel, and infant daughter, Lillian, in their Hopkinton home sometime over the Jan. 20-22 weekend.
Rachel Entwistle, 27, was shot once to the head and died immediately, according to her death certificate. Her 9-month-old baby, Lillian Rose, was shot once in the abdomen and died by her mothers side, her death certificate states.
Both were killed by a small-caliber weapon, according to police. There has been no official word yet on the whereabouts of that murder weapon.
Neil Entwistle, also 27, has remained silent since hopping a plane to England the day before the murdered bodies of his wife and child were discovered.
Entwistle was seen on surveillance tapes leaving Logan International Airport in Boston Jan. 21 on a one-way flight to England. He did not appear frazzled or acting suspiciously on the tapes, the Herald has learned. And, he was traveling alone.
He boarded an 8:15 a.m. British Airways flight to England where he then made his way to his parents home north of London in Worksop.
A press conference from England is expected in the next hour.
Is he related to the base player from The Who?
Don't care. The MSM has a new Scott Peterson, to dominate the airwaves for the next year.
s/b "bass player"...
Perfect!
I hope they ship him back here quickly!
I can't help it. Every radio story about this mentions the Sheriff of Nottingham and all I can think of is the Bugs Bunny cartoon. "Arise, Sir Loin of Beef, Milk of Magnesia, Earl of Clove...."
Hang him.
It's about time! On FOX they are saying that they found him at a tube station!
MSNBC is going to carry a news conference (forgot by who) at 10:00.
1)He's a British citizen. This will work in his favor during the hearings."My Lord, you know as well as I that American "justice" is barbaric in nature and,as a result,I cannot possibly get a fair trial there.
2)Louise Woodward. This, too, will work in his favor with the British public and the British courts.Woodward was the young British girl who was tried and convicted of having killed a young child in her care. The British public was outraged by her conviction.
Anyone who would bet the grocery money on this guy ever being tried in Massachusetts is crazy.
Tube station? What's that, a homosexual pub?
Bada boom ... Bada bing!
Sorry. That's a serious as I can get about this no brainer of case.
I'll take that bet...
Jackpot! You hit the nail on the head. Looks like Greta has the next years worth of programs mapped out.
Wonder what makes people think that murdering your loved ones is an easier way out than divorce?
Before you do,you'd be wise to study the cases of Ira Einhorn and Louise Woodward.
I don't know how many watched The Nanny Trial on Court TV, but as I recall, it's one and the same prosecutor (Martha Coaxley), for both cases. Just a coincidence, the young nanny was a Brit too.
And I wonder what makes they think they'll get away with it.
The Nanny Trial
Oh, yeah. About ten years ago? Thanks.
