DFU SONG: Don't Fear the Reaper (at a Dem funeral, there is not one weeper...it's party time)
DFU SONGS | 2-2006 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

MIDI - DON'T FEAR THE REAPER - Blue Oyster Cult, version 2

Funeral time has come...Dems will have some fun
You're not gonna find one weeper
They all are there for partisan rants (there is not one weeper)
They're not solemn (there is no weeper)
They are there to bash Bush (you won't find one weeper)
Like the Wellstone rally day (there is not one weeper)
They just want to win

Eulogies abound...it's George Bush they pound

Where's the body now...it's been lost somehow
No one knows where it has gone...they don't even seem to care
(you won't see one weeper) Bill Clinton's dropping trow
(not a single weeper) Carter is lusting in his heart
(there's not one weeper) From there racist script you know they cannot depart
(there's not one weeper) See the Dems play
(there's not one weeper) They are having such fun
(there's not one weeper) It happens every time
(there's not one weeper) Count the tears, there are none

It's quite a disgrace...Kennedy's **** faced

(long musical break - go to 3:24))

See what they have done...DemocRATS are scum
Figuratively spit on the grave...they think it is really okay
They're ***clowns who don't have a touch of class
They keep on thinking that they'll win the day
And nothing to them has ever been out of bounds
(there's not one weeper) They are phonies
Power's always the game...it's religion to them
There's nobody that they would not destroy
There they go again
(there was not one weeper) They are lowlifes, all
(there's not one weeper)

I don't know how well this works, but have fun singing anyway. These guys certainly know how to show class at funerals. Where were the balloons and silly string?

Well, "Don't Fear The Reaper" was originally about suicide, so it works on that level as well.

Just when I thought Carter couldn't embarrass himself any further, he does it. I can't believe I was stupid enough to vote for that jerk. Do you suppose he asked Amy what he should say?

While I was a teacher, I actually voted for Carter as a reaction to Nixon. That was sure a mistake, however, it did give us Reagan. Although I didn't take firm positions on them at the time, I thought that maybe gun control and rent control may be a good idea. Doh.
