No...DuckFan4ever is right.
Whatever beef you have against Lott,
he has one of the most conservative
voting records in the Senate.

I agree. The problem with Lott was his giving in to Tom Daschle when the Senate was 50/50. Lott agreed to power sharing when he needed not to. Daschle then went shopping for a defector with gifts in hand, and he found Jeffords, and Daschle put the screws to Lott, and the Nation, once he became the Majority leader.
Then Lott's incredibly weak response, in his own defense, after his Strom Thurmond comment was the last straw. Groveling on the BET and NPR Networks is not exactly what is expected of a leader I can follow

I guess you don't own land along the I55 corridor..do you? My guess is that you have no idea what Lott has done in Mississippi...because the whole damn world doesn't give a rat's ass about Mississippi. New Orleans is the precious victim baby right now (highlighted on the grammy's tonight)...meanwhile 2/3 of Mississippi's people & lands were devastated by Katrina...the sharks are moving in and no one gives a damn.
I don't know what plane of 'relatism' you reside on...but am i here in the real world of devestaion..corporate giants and states greedy to steal the property of the individual during a national emergency...POX on either house that uses it for political football.

You mean apart from the fact that Lott kept Clinton from being removed from office during the impeachment trial? A strong case can be made that the Senate would have had no choice but to remove Clinton from office if the public had been allowed to see the evidence against Clinton that was accumulated by the House, the same evidence that resulted in them voting FOR articles of impeachment. Wallace might be a fine man and make an excellent Justice, but anybody that thinks he is OK simply because he has some affiliation with Trent Lott is not playing with a full deck.
