Despite the challenges, Nagin said he believes he is best suited to run the city because he wont have a learning curve.

"Vote Nagin-He Can't Get Any Worse" doesn't have that winning feeling.
To: Ellesu
there will at some point be substantial federal funds in the mayor's hands, so there is sure to be some interest from other pols in this.
To: Ellesu
Nagin's reelection would confirm that the "citizens" of New Orleans are truly "stuck on stupid"..
It should also signal the cessation of all "local control" of Federal Dollars going into that cesspool of corruption, ignorance and racist poverty pimps..

We dont have 12 to 18 months to two years for somebody to get up to speed, he said.
He hasn't gotten there yet.

Why do I have the feeling Nagin will be arrested for trying to buy nuclear technology? And NO will become a hub on the Axis of Evil?

Lets hope he succeeds in the face of this 'challenge' like he did his last challenge.

I think the Mayors race will be won or lost BEFORE and/or AFTER the election but not during the election. The Democrats will try to get as many out-of-town votes as possible and register as many non-whites in the city as possible. If they do so, they'll win, but will it be legal??? This all leads to one outcome............a Florida type finish that will be decided by the courts.
