George Soros Infiltrates Conservative Movement
The Post Chronicle ^ | 2/8/06 | Cliff Kincaid

Calvina Fay of the Drug Free America Foundation has pulled out as a speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), which begins in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, because a “mini-debate” she was scheduled to appear in had been stacked against her. As it now stands, the event will feature two advocates of drug legalization, both of them funded by leftist billionaire and anti-Bush activist George Soros.

Having put most of the left-wing political movement and many liberal Democrats on his payroll, it is apparent that Soros is now working to manipulate the conservative movement. It is surprising that CPAC is facilitating his scheme.

A convicted inside trader who specializes in manipulating the currencies of the nations of the world, Soros is usually depicted as a “philanthropist” who believes in an “Open Society.” Hence, the name of his major funding mechanism, the Open Society Institute. In the Soros view, of course, an “open society” means encouraging behavior that undermines the traditional values and culture of America. This is hardly “conservative.”

GOD MADE HERB GOD SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD GOD GAVE IT TO MAN

Genesis 1:11 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth"; and it was so.

Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:29 And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.

Because something is God given doesn't mean it can't be abused. The scripture you posted as proof shows that God intended that the herbs he created be used as food:

Genesis 1:29
And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.

It shall be for food. Not to smoke. Not to get high on. Not to abuse. For food. Everytime you post this as proof that God wants people to smoke pot you mock and make a liar out of God.

Sorry, I stopped laughing at drug based humor...oh, about 25 years ago. It's pretty juvenile.

One for the list? Interesting. Soros is an evil, evil man. From what I've read, he's funded all of the marijuana legalization drives, including so-called medical mj, in this country.

I dont pay too much attention to those who advocate legalisation of drugs, Most of them are already using pot and some the hard stuff. Of course they want it legalised.

I mostly feel sorry for them. Drug users are pathetic creatures trying to find something in the drug high they cant get from real life. All users say they can stop anytime they want, Some even believe it. They say Pot isnt addictive, then they break the law and take a chance of being arrested to use it.

Legalising drugs is a stupid idea, but its amazing, some here in Free Republic would like to see it.

I believe in legalizing marijuana. As for the other drugs that's open to debate. With stepped up border enforcement and crackdown on illegals, hard drugs such as cocaine and heroin would gradually disappear from the streets.

Soros isn't infiltrating the conservative movement, he's support drug legalization for years and years. I remember Bob Barr became unhinged at some congressional hearing, I believe on California's Medical Marijuana propostion, accusing some poor slub of being a tool of Soros, SOROS.

The re-legalization of drugs is a venerable and defensible conservative/libertarian/limited government position. Bill Buckley and Milton Friedman held that position back in the '60s.

It's an issue, where men of goodwill can disagree. Prohibtions are generally speaking a liberal solution to a problem.

More ad-hominem attacks.

I was hoping for an honest discussion on drugs for a change, but that just vaporized. With arguments such as these, it's no wonder why those who favor the current corrupt government-backed anti-drug policy are routinely discredited here on FR.

I'm not a pot smoker, but if I was, what point would I have proved for you? That it's your business to interfere with the lifestyles of others who want to destroy their own lives? I say let them. Let private charities help them overcome their demons but get government completely out of the equation.

Well .. if CPAC won't cancel the "debate" - or bring in TWO CONSERVATIVES against the two leftists, the only avenue available is to BOYCOTT the "debate".

Maybe if nobody shows up to the "debate" - CPAC will get the message. This meeting should be about BUILDING UP THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT - not allowing the LEFT TO TAKE OVER.

And .. IS THERE EVER A REAL CONSERVATIVE INVITED TO A N Y LEFTIST MEETING .. I DON'T THINK SO!!

Remember, when people are being trained to distinguish between real and forged paper money .. they only LOOK AT THE REAL ONES .. they don't throw a couple of BAD ones in for people to look at. Once you have studied the REAL stuff long enough .. you learn to recognize the BAD stuff right away. It's the same with conservativism .. just preach that and then when the leftists start spewing their stuff - it will be very easy to recognize.

'oklah (ok-law');  Noun Feminine, Strong #: 402
  1. food
    1. food, eating
    2. object of devouring, consuming
      1. by wild beasts (figurative)
      2. in fire
      3. of judgment (figurative)
KJV Word Usage and Count
meat 8
devour 3
fuel 3
eat 2
consume 1
food 1

"Meat" makes sense since the herb I speak of bears a seed which contains the most complete and absorbable combination of amino acids required by the human body for sustenance of any plant on the face of Earth.

"... you mock and make a liar out of God."

Galatians 6:6-7 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Who makes a liar out of God?

Romans 14:2-4
For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

The fool believes that he may eat all things. The wise, when ill, will seek certain herbs. I do not judge nor despise you for not taking herbs. What right do you or any other or group of others have to judge those which partake of this herb gifted from God? From what right or by what power do you 'control' or eradicate this gift for all future generations?

I still think that George Soros is/was a KGB agent.

Yep. Totally Agreed.

Still on their payroll.

MoveOn.org and ANSWER, among many others, which Soros funds is just like the same kind of anti-American crap that Armand Hammer used to fund up to the 80's with his ill-gotten funds from Occidental Oil.

Walter Williams just wrote an article about our rights:

"--- we have to decide what is a right.
The way our Constitution's framers used the term, a right is something that exists simultaneously among people and imposes no obligation on another.
For example, the right to free speech, or freedom to travel, is something we all simultaneously possess. My right to free speech or freedom to travel imposes no obligation upon another except that of non-interference.

In other words, my exercising my right to speech or travel requires absolutely nothing from you and in no way diminishes any of your rights. --"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In other words, my right to take intoxicating substances imposes no obligation upon another except that of non-interference; -- it requires absolutely nothing from you and in no way diminishes any of your rights.
Thus, you have no natural right to insist that our governments have the power to prohibit drugs using the commerce clause excuse. -- Get it?
Bogus rights
By demonizing and blaming the substance you take away all accountability to the individual's free will. Show me a neighborhood which has been destroyed by herb and I will show you one in which the enforcers have imprisoned a good portion of its young males. The trapped people are victims of a war which provides astronomical returns on investments for those willing to joust with the windmills of injustice. It is not the substance which should concern you, but the systemic victimization of the citizenry by black armored and black masked DEAmen in the dark of night knocking down doors of homes to carry off the possessors, protectors and propagators of an herb gifted by God.
Amazing. You've managed to turn a scripture about weak faith versus strong faith into a medical marijuana scripture. Kudos.
For your enlightenment:
Rom 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations
Clearly your biblical knowledge exceeds mine. But it reminds me of when I smoked marijuana. I was convinced that nearly everyone I knew smoked pot. Must be the same way with you and the bible.
