This whole cartoon thing has just made a lot more people "get it". Most Europeans, Canadians, Americans, etc. had no idea of the incredible bile and hate which is published daily, hourly, in the Arab/Muslim press about Jews and Christians/Americans. Today the Post had a full page of their anti-Jew/anti-American bilge that I'm sure will be an eye-opener for the average Canadian. Unless you see it you can't believe it.
