I am delighted that the administration has found its voice on this issue. The Dems talk impeachment but they are the ones looking unfit for office. The public is realizing that W is doing his job, defending the country.

"domestic eavesdropping program"

Just can't budge the presstitutes off a meme once they've settled on it.

The original authorization for war made the electronic data mining and eavesdropping on terrorists by the executive legal. But even if it didn't, let's remind everyone what our original civil libertarian, Thomas Jefferson, had to say about wartime:

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest.  The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation.  To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means." --Thomas Jefferson to John Colvin, 1810
