There aren't that many rural churches in Alabama.

On the contrary, there are lots of rural churches in this state. I live in a rural area, and within 15 minutes of where I live, I can think of at least 10 right of the bat. If I thought really hard I could probably think of at least five more.

Lots of them don't have the $$ for security systems, and many of the pastors of these churches serve more than 1 congregation, and have other jobs to make ends meet.

Agree with you on the lack of money for cameras. These churches are not the sophisticated metro churches. These churches are down home worship. No entertainment to lure youth either. Although some do offer far away mission trips. Nothing against these far away mission trips, because they are necessary. However, I tell my kids everyday life is a mission opportunity.

It's about time I renewed my First Baptist Church membership, though I'm long gone from Alabama and Christianity. .
