By Brad Bumsted STATE CAPITOL REPORTER Tuesday, February 7, 2006

Steelers win on Sunday sealed it.
Go Swann!!!!
Watch for the ugly democrat attack machine to go into overdrive.
dupe
sorry dude did not see your post put it up at the same time
Looks like Chuckie Schumer's staff will be needed to dredge up another credit report.
Swann was further encouraged when he found out his opponent would be former Cowboys' DB Mark Washington. :)
I wonder if some men in stripes gave Scranton "An offer he can't refuse"?
I read somewhere today that at the Steelers parade, Swan was a crowd favorite with chants of "Governor" going non- stop until Swan reminded the crowd that it was a day to honor the Steelers Super Bowl win. Rendell was in attendence.
Sort of the opposite of the neverending funerally of Mrs. King.
These 3 need to go TOGETHER to Cleveland, Cincy, Philly, Pitt, Balt DC Suburbs and tell African Americans THEY HAVE A CHOICE!!!
Today, at the Steelers victory rally in dahntahn Pittsburgh, Lynn Swann was one of the masters of ceremony for the event. When he first went to the mike, the thousands in the crowd assembled at Gateway Center started spontaneously chanting...'governor, governor.' Swann, being the classy guy that he is, deflected the attention, saying something to the effect...'today is about the black and gold.' And, btw, Fast Eddie Rendell was there too...he must have been pi$$ed.
It will be Pittsburgh v. Philadelphia...
Does a bear doo doo in the woods????????????????????? :)
Found the link to the Swann "reception" at the Steeler parade:
SWEET REPORT FROM AN E-MAILER [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
Lynn Swann was just speaking at the Steelers victory celebration in Pittsburgh (Rendell is in attendance). He was interrupted by the crowd chanting GOVERNOR, GOVERNOR, GOVERNOR! He actually had to stop the crowd and remind them that today is just about the glorious Steeler Super bowl victory !
It is a GREAT day in the 'burgh!

I suspect Pennsylvanians are going to be hearing not so subtle code words like "Uncle Tom" and "Oreo" a lot over the next several months.
Some Freepers seem to think that Swann has no shot at beating Rendell. I disagree. Name recognition is very powerful, and Pennsylvania might be the least blue of the northeastern states.
Exactly. And since P'burg's fraud voter machine is not as good as Philly's, Swann will have to work harder than Fast Eddie. BUT, we remember the stealth raise and the tax increase and the gambling handouts to politically-connected friends - Fast Eddie has a lot of fast talking to do.
yep
