Jimmy Carter: still the worst ex-president. Jimmy Carter's legacy is the radical Islamic movement. He allowed it to take hold in Iran. He allowed the Shah to be deposed. He caused the taking of the hostages. He had so depleted out military that rescue attempt failed because out helicopters could not deal with the sand of the middle east.
His presidency was a nightmare only ended by a Reagan landslide. The pollsters during that election said that the election was too close to call. Yeah, I trust the pollsters too.
