I said "they would gas us, if they could," a proposition with which you agreed. I know my post was more than 3 lines long, but do try to stay focused. Or do you need a history lesson about the Nazis and their preferred methods of 'liquidation?'
The latter involves strong emotions and hatred but it is different than personal hatred in that it is based on one's association with a group rather than individual hatred. Dems and socialists think in terms of groups rather than individuals.
Wrong. "The personal is political." They use groups to leverage political power. They may think in collective terms in their goals, but that hardly means they don't identify individual enemies. Apparently you do need a history lesson. OK, here's the non-linearly thinking version for victims of the American public school system who don't even read their own posts: In the 20th century, Socialism murdered more people than any other cause, and more humans than in all the previous centuries combined.
If you think that level of "zealous partisanship" is fundamentally different from "personal hatred," either in its emotional chemistry or external effects, all I can say is, go have an argument with someone who wants to talk about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. I'm not interested in distinctions which make no difference.
The original Enemies Lists were drawn up by leftists. They had names of actual individuals, who actually died. Did Ramon Mercader tell his target with the ice-pick in the back of his head that "there's nothing personal about this?" Maybe he did. But of course, there was.
No rational thinking person actually believes democrats would mass exterminate conservatives. I do not desire to discuss or associate with anyone who believes that.
I do hope you have a nice evening though.
