"Thousands Remember Coretta Scott King" ---------- I was watching Fox News and they showed Jimmy Carter speaking at Coretta Scott King's funeral, and sure enough, he started talking about illegal wire-tapping and other examples of government run amok. I am appalled that he would use this opportunity to bash the President, but not really surprised. :-(

Speaking of Disco, don't forget the infamous "Disco Demolition" night at the old Comiskey Park in Chicago when fans brought Disco 45's and piled them on the pitcher's mound and lit a huge fire and burned them!

The liberals are at war with the President. He and his advisers were unwise in having him submit to humiliation at the hands of his domestic enemies......
All too true. But for all we know, his advisors DID tell him to stay away. He came out on top. He showed class and respect for the departed. All he had to do was listen to the assorted bastards. If he'd stayed away, he would have been crucified.

"I'm ashamed he was the first president I ever voted for (in my younger uneducated days). "
We share the same dark history. However, I can gleefully state that Carter is the last Democrat I voted for, and the last I'll ever vote for.

"WORST president EVER
Allow one who lived through his presidency in the midst of her prime of life to recap:"
Don't forget the Olympic boycott...cheating American athletes out of an opportunity to participate in something most of them had worked to prepare for a majority of their lives. What a "brilliant" idea.

This is just Jimmuh being Jimmuh.

Well, the next one is in China... do we want to give the PRC that kind of shot in the arm PR wise?

"That, along with shallow, hollow, empty promises. And a boatload of bitterness."
The people they hate most are those whose existence serves to remind liberals that they're inadequate. The reason most liberals hate the military is because every time they see a man or woman in uniform, that soldier reminds them that they're shallow, self-centered cowards.

a man obsessed with the Ayatollah tormenting him and Carter acting as if that was the number one thing he had to worry about day in and day out. At least equally puzzling is, why wasn't Jimmuh under massive political pressure to get a war on about this? An ultimatum, return the hostages unharmed or you will all go up in smoke? The MSM, at least, just politely twiddled their thumbs at his dither and inaction.

You assume that those Olympics will make China look good. I'm not so sure. Regardless, it's wrong for a President to use something like the Olympics as a political tool. Carter made hundreds of American athletes into political pawns. It was stupid and ineffective.

If Jimmuh hadn't been such a nebbish about his other politics, it might have actually meant something.

""WORST president EVER "
Also the worst EX president.
My family was from Georgia, so I am so embarrassed to even
note that this peanut brain of a man ever existed.
As much as I like peanuts, I may now have to puke at the site of one.

Jimmy has to battle Clinton for the honors of worst President. It's almost a dead heat, but Jimmy's just plain stupid...while Clinton's a sociopath.

I wonder what Hill's already promised black leaders as payoffs if she gets the Presidency? Lots and lots and lots.

'Agree. HE'S the one we get to keep? At least Billy KNEW he was a national joke.
Same with Kennedy. All those sons and Teddy the Olympic swimmer is the one who lives.'
Well, no one knows about Joe. Jack was a mediocre president and a bigger putameister than is Clinton. The profoundly evil Kennedy was Bobby, that sniveling, hateful, wiretapping, sneaky SOB.
Teddy is just a big philandering socialist drunk who uses the good fortune of his brothers' murders, his faux-royal name and his ethnicity to remain a Massachusetts senator. Had his brothers lived, he'd be what he is now; a fat red-faced loudmouth drunk gurgling his Chivas while trying to seduce middle-aged women. They wouldn't call him senator though. He'd probably be where he belongs, sharing a cell with the other family murderer, Skakel!

I think President-elect Reagan whispered in the Ayatollah's ear, 'Let 'em go or I'm going to kill you, Y-O-U. Not your army or military targets. Y-O-U!!!'
Worked with Qaddafi, didn't it? He's been a pussycat since we bombed his tent!

""WORST president EVER "
And even a worse human being.
To: nitejohnboy
Irrespective of what direction the President took with regard to the Coretta Scott King, he would have been crucified by the liberals. Over at DU, they are gloating at President Bush's humiliation. One of them posted a picture of the First Lady with an angry expression while some black preacher, possibly Rev. Joseph Lowry, was at the podium.
I just don't think that the office of the Presidency should be subject to public humiliation. President Bush's instincts may be fundamentally decent, but this is one trip he should not have taken.
