Sheesh - after reading this thread, I'm almost glad that Mr. Inspectorette and I were at the Bi-Mart waiting for a tow truck after somebody backed into us, because we would've been watching this Wellstone moment too.

That's the beauty of it. The Wellstone debacle cemented public opinion firmly against the democrats. Apparrently they mistook that as a formula for success.
