LITHONIA, Ga. - Shivering in near-freezing temperatures, thousands of people waited hours in line Tuesday for one last chance to say goodbye to Coretta Scott King before her funeral.
"There's one word to describe going to go see Coretta historic. It's good to finally see her at peace," said Robert Jackson, a 34-year-old financial consultant from Atlanta whose 10-year-old daughter, Ebony, persuaded him to take her to the visitation.
The lines had already started forming by 3 a.m. By the time the doors opened at 6:30 a.m., people toward the end were warned that if they stayed in line they likely wouldn't get into the funeral because of long lines that were already forming there.
An estimated 10,000 people, including four U.S. presidents, were expected to attend the midday funeral at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, where King's daughter Bernice is a minister.
This is a funeral. Let's show some respect for that family, whatever you think.
Watching Hilary speak reminds me that she will not win the election if she is nominated. I am not convinced that she will win the nomination. She will look terrible in the primary debates, especially if people like Al Sharpton run and highlight Hilary's complete lack of charisma, while other lefties like Dean and Gore attack her for supporting the war.
Condi was there (there's a picture on Yahoo.)
all I said what that I couldn't figure out what song he singing
Her Heinousness was looking most bored.
You usually only hear all this over-modulating from Mariah Carey.
Do your research into his teachings; it's the truth.

That's ok .. I'm not bothered by that
If Stevie doesn't stop over-doing what is normally a very beautiful song, he's going to wake up Coretta. For real!
Sorry for overreacting. It's pretty extreme.
Ronald Reagan's funeral wasn't political, except when his son spoke of course. There was such class displayed that entire week. Democrats are incapable of that response, the death of one of their own just has to turn ugly and hateful and totally partisan. It's rather unbelievable to see it though.
I don't like when she does it either .. just sing the song
Now that Ray Charles is dead, I guess Stevie's gonna be doing all the death gigs, huh?
DREADFUL.
Can't remember which comedian once had that as punch line... That Stevie Wonder went to heaven and when he could see he immediately punched the people who had dressed him all these years. ;~D
What a great event for your child and other students at the school!
That's...so...that...voters...who...have...english...as...a....second...language...can...understand...her...

It's about as obnoxious as opera to me. Never had liked that style of singing. They all just copy each other and try to out-modulate each other. A good example is when they destroy the Star Spangled banner with that garbage.
