"The House Permanant Select Committee on Intelligence is studying hours of audio recordings between Saddam Hussein and his top advisors that may provide clues to the whereabouts of Iraq's WEAPONS of MASS DESTRUCTION. The committee has already confirmed through the intelligence community that the recordings of saddam's voice are AUTHENTIC, according to it's chairman, REP. Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, who would not go into detail about the nature of the conversations or their context." " The audio recordings are part of new evidence the House Intelligence Committee is piecing together that has spurred Mr Koekstra to reopen the question of whether Iraq had the BIOLOGICAL, CHEMICAL and NUCLEAR weapons American weapons inspectors could not turn up." They were provided to his committee by a former Federal prosecutor, John Loftus, who says he received them from a former American military intelligence analyst.

If the "Constitution Party" is the same one as that of the early 60s you want no part of it.
To: justshutupandtakeit
I was referring to the current one, unless it is still stuck in the 60s

mp3 format would fit. Windows audio would fit. Think a minute per meg, up to 720 meg on a cd, 12 hours exactly.

Maybe he has a Blu-Ray ...

Why did a former federal prosecutor (John Loftus) have these tapes??? Cause someone in the Intelligence Community screwed up and didn't get it destroyed.
To: Coop
The new nugget for me was the one week between delivery of said tapes to Congress and the re-opening of Intel's WMD investigation. That is really , really fast. Must be some good stuff!

What was the huge camoflagued depot full of drums, supposedly of organophospate pesticides, doing on an Iraqi military post? And what pesticide was it? There is at least one organophosphate pesticide (banned in the US) that the Canadian intelligence service lists as a possible terrorist weapon. Could it be we found the WMD's, but that they were 'dual use' technology (a little light spray kills bugs, a good strong one humans)? The stuff we found was strong enough to cause nerve gas exposure symptoms (all satisfactorily treated) in the troops who found it.
I REMEMBER THIS!
Oh, I DO I DO I DO!!! I remember seeing this on my crackberry while surfing Yahoo! News on it ... 2 years ago while awaiting Jury Duty! It was there, from FOX News, and then it was gone... and that was the only mention made of it I ever found until your post right here. And HOW COULD IT NOT BE Chemical Weapons?
Did you ever hear about the one incident where they found a bunch of liquid filled rockets? And not like liquid propelled, but filled warheads. I never could find out anything more about that one either.

holy cow, just release them and get it over with.
Saddam on Tape: "Hey camel-breath Assad, got some 18 wheelers headin' your way."
Assad: "Not again."
Saddam: "Lay off. You got your oil voucher this month."
Assad: "Yeah, but Kofi is catchin' some heat. Somethin' may go down. You been busy?"
Saddam: "Like a one-eye cat watchin' two mouse holes. Listen, this stuff is potent. Be sur and tell your guys to wear boots when they dump it." end of tape.
Assad: "Are you still flossing regularly."
Saddam: "Hurts my gums and bleeds too much."
Assad: "When you come visit after all this calms down, I'll have a look."
Saddam: "Ever the dentist."

I remember that, they even had a picture of them. I believe that the kicker was that the warheads had a mixing mechanism that was used to activate binary nerve gas in flight. They only found the hardware, not the chemicals, but there was absolutely no other use for this type of warhead. If my memory serves me they were French or Chinese made.

Depends on what the meaning of the word "know" is...... LOL
Probably reading it in a newspaper would not be enough to "know" with modern journalistic standards being what they are...
Do you need to have your hands touch it to know?
Do you need to see a photo to know?
Or would someone elses seeing it and telling you be enough for you know?
Or perhaps for some they would never know even if it blew up in their faces........
I "know" enough through emperical logic to know.
The WMD's DID EXIST at one time, he killed people with them,
where did they go, I think I "know"; SYRIA.

You could also record in WAV format, but use a lower sampling frequency. When I record AM radio I use 22.05K mono 16bit and get 4x Redbook CD length or around 320', using 11.025K 8bit would get over 21 hours at AM radio quality. Just tried it, probably better fidelity than whatever audio they got from the taps.

They might be in MP3 format and not WMAs, which take up more space.
