Roethlisberger gets shave from Letterman

NEW YORK - Ben Roethlisberger was happy to get rid of his good-luck beard. The Pittsburgh quarterback got a shave Monday night from David Letterman while appearing on the "Late Show," finally ridding himself of the scraggly light brown facial hair he's been growing since the Steelers lost to Cincinnati in October.
"I was so mad that we lost the game," Roethlisberger told Letterman. "I kind of went into a depression and didn't shave and we ended up winning the next game. And I am kind of superstitious -- just a little bit to people who know me -- but we won that game and I said I am just going to keep it going until we lose and we kept it going.

Sorry - my mistake - I thought you were interested in discussing: "When the "bad officiating" whining starts, why does no one mention the two fumble recoveries stolen from the Steelers by the refs? Bottom line, officiating did not decide this game. As with so many Super Bowls, neither team played particularly well, but the Steelers played better when it counted in this one. As for Ben, he's a good kid and will be even better next year."

I watched the replay several times on a big screen HDTV. It was a touchdown. Your guys lost. My guys (Bengals) got knocked out by the Steelers. I'm sure I could have cherry picked several plays for bad calls and said that the Steelers had it handed to them. So could the Colt and Bronco fans. The Seahawks were the lucky ones. If the Steelers had had a good day the Steelers would have blown the Seahawks out in the first quarter. But, hey, by all means demand a recount. It worked for Washington's governor, maybe it will work for you. And by the way, any of the other mentioned AFC teams would have creamed Seattle.
I think I was watching the same game as you - nonetheless, did you see this:
A day after losing the Super Bowl, Seattle coach Mike Holmgren made it clear to Seahawks fans he was not pleased with the officiating in Pittsburgh's 21-10 victory.
"We knew it was going to be tough going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers," Holmgren said before about 15,000 fans at a ceremony at Qwest Field Monday. "I didn't know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts as well."

You win a few , You lose a few, Sometimes you break even and go into overtime LOL.
A few reasons why ---
(1) The Steelers fan base is larger than the Seahawks
fan base.
(2) He is on the winning team of the Super Bowl.
(3) He played very well in the playoffs against Cincy, Indy
and Denver.
Whitlock repeats one of the lies of the interference call, that the ref waited to make the call until after Hope complained. The replay from the 50 yardline shows the ref through the play, he started to reach for the flag immediately after the push off and before the catch, but he missed twice, once coming up empty handed the other time coming up with the blue turnover bean bag (you can see the blue sticking out below his hand). Yes by the time the ref does throw the flag Hope has already started entreating for the call but you can see that the flag was going to be thrown long before Hope started jumping up and down.
