""Christians across America are fed up with attacks on their faith and their values."
Yes, we are. But I say let them air it and show their stripes.

NBC is desperate. "Must see TV" is history and they have been trailing ABC and powerhouse CBS in the ratings since "Friends" and "Seinfeld" ended. So, they've been resorting to throwing programming feces on the wall to see what sticks.
Look for GE to dissolve itself of NBC in the near future.

I'll bet they could resurrect the brilliant "Firefly" and market it with the attention it deserves and gain a sizeable audience. Or they could continue to alienate a huge portion of their viewership.

Think she would have dressed as a Catholic school girl? *drools*

But what about lions? That has gotten high ratings in the past.
To: Future Snake Eater
No way will they do that! Did you see Serenity?
It was a great movie with out a recognizable homo-sexual/liberal agenda. There's no place in Hollywood for that!

Jack's network was to be bought out by a Christian network, eventually leading to Spears' character appearing in a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixins."
At least she wasn't going to make a pizza called the Cheezus Crust.

Seems to me that the AFA can put together a protest that gets results. Amen to them!

But I say let them air it and show their stripes.I agree. The censoring of it reminds me of a time not too long ago when certain denominations banned lipstick and dancing. Can't have temptations don't you know. Faith without trial is no faith at all.

I wonder if the Muslim riots over the cartoons played any part in this decision. I'm not suggesting that Christians would resort to violence, but the whole issue of mocking religion is in the forefront right now.

Faith without trial is no faith at all. I do too. All of this screeching about being offended doesn't seem to be limited to the muslims, now does it.
To those 'offended' turn the friggin' channel, we've got too much to worry about on this planet to worry about some crappy TV show 'offending' someone.

I'm with you. Let the ideas get out there in the marketplace of ideas, and let the best ideas win. The bowing and scraping Muslims take for granted toward their "dogma" makes me sick.

"Screeching" is a little different than throwing rocks and fire-bombing, however. Please keep that in mind.

Nice headline. Was NBC planning to use spears to attack Christians or planning to attack Christians who had spears?

...Or the famous "cheese on rice" dish.
The strange thing about the title of this article was that I had a visual image of NBC having a show where Christians are assulted with knife tipped poles (aka, spears, lances, etc.). The crazy thing is, is that I wouldn't be supprised to see Hollywierd put out a show that glorified impaling Christians. So sad.
To: LdSentinal
Does anyone remember when she claimed to be a Christian?

It was a great movie with out a recognizable homo-sexual/liberal agenda. I gotta agree, in fact there might be a slight lampooning of homo agenda in the character of Jayne.
