Well, this is one American who remembers the Americans who died in Vietnam, a proxy war supported by Russia, which also btw ended with genocide in Cambodia and at least 250,000 deaths in 'post-victory' Vietnam.

Payback is a bitch. . .

Yep, and something else the Soviets seem to be forgetting; we went into Afghanistan and subdued the country fairly quickly. The Soviests and most of the military experts predicted disaster...we couldn't do what the British and Russians had failed to do and we would never be able to defeat General Winter.

We did it, we did it quickly and we did it with very light forces.
