I worked at a dot-com until spring 2000 doing IT work. I left and went to work for a Fortune 100 company in NYC doing IT work. I do not work at the F100 company any more, I quit it. I started a small business with my friend during the summer of 2005, it is small and has not made a lot of money. I have a day job and I also go to night school.

As far as reading Hayek, I am going to read him since it has been suggested to me by someone a few weeks ago. My friend suggested Milton Friedman as well and I will read his books.

As far as the people here who talked about Marx and economics - shortly after Marx died, someone wrote a book which said that Marx's talk about value did not translate into prices. He pointed to where he thought Marx made some errors. This was in the late 19th century. It is 2006, and Marx's followers still have not responded to this guy who pointed out errors Marx made. It's called the "Transformation Problem". In other words, this guy debunked a major underpinning of Marx in the late 19th century, and the Marx followers still have no response to this. A popular left-wing magazine, the Monthly Review, talks about this a lot.

One thing I tend to notice is that when conservative economists are on the offensive pointing out errors in left-wing economic theories, they are honest and often right. When they are on the defensive against left-wingers pointing out inconsistencies in their theories, they seem to be less honest. Anyhow, I prefer reading conservative criticism of left-wing economics to conservative defense of conservative economics agaist left wing attacks. The prior is usually much better written.

Please do yourself a favor and read Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell. You'll learn a very great deal and you will NOT find either of them falling into the category you despise.

Your stated views are those of the WOBBLIES. They are outdated, don't work, and never shall.

What is it, in particular, that you hate so, about Conservatives? There's more to it than "evil Capitalists"; isn't there? And why the GREEN Party? Do you actually know what they stand for?

When [conservatives arguing economics] are on the defensive against left-wingers pointing out inconsistencies in their theories, they seem to be less honest.

Can you share an example of this?
