No promiscuity - no problem. People aren't beasts of the field, and we each have the ability to control our sexual acts. Each and every one of us. It is an act of will to engage in sex acts, any kind. We can choose to do it or not to do it.

Many people make bad choices. They should be encouraged to remain chaste until marriage, and faithful and loyal within marriage. Problem solved at no cost, and everyone would be happier, especially children. Because far fewer marriages would break up, and no children would be illegitimate.

There are two sides to "gay culture:" The kind that can be curred with antibiotics and the varieties that, alas, result from a virus.

The real victims here are the wives and girlfriends who will be infected by bisexual men who don't tell their spouses about the promiscuity. Too bad political correctness requires all public health concerns to be swept under the rug.

I was lurking in a homo dg one day, the subject was the 'worrisome spread of HIV". From the tone of their conversation I got the idea that there was a disconnect between the 'acts' and the 'consequences." So I posted a question asking how they happened to 'catch' HIV? The responses were mind-boggling. They essentially boiled down to: "HIV is caught like one catches mumps."

People on Freerepublic (libertarians) often ask Christians to present a secular or scientific argument against immorality. Here is a stab.

When one looks at the Bible's most ardent "thou shalt nots", it is those behaviors that result is devastating consequences (social, mental and/or physical) by virtue of the nature of God's creation or natural law governing earth, animals and people. They are warnings from a loving God; not a wrathful God. They are rules of how to survive in health, peace and abundance. None of us live up to these rules perfectly and we suffer or thrive to the degree we are successful in doing so.

Homosexuality is not "judged" by wrathful God. God has warned man that the sexual act is an abomination in the world He created. We punish ourselves with the consequences of partaking in behaviors we are told, in no uncertain terms, to avoid. This is not "hate." It is the reality of nature. It is always supported by scientific evidence. (Check out for yourself - every commandment has scientific evidence of what happens in terms of suffering when humanity disobeys the warnings.)

We get addicted to different pleasures in life. Some are more deadly than others; more immediate and these most deadly pleasures are singled out in the Bible. Homosexuality is immediate and devastating; thus it is called an abomination in the Bible and it is an abomination when measured in scientific terms as well. It is a reality where full scientific evidence is available which liberals want to pretend does not exist. Just by pretending it is what it is not and claiming that the Bible is wrong does not change scientific reality!

How could anyone look at the social, mental and physical diseases of sodomy and not know that it is a behavior that is to be avoided if one wants to live and thrive. How could anyone who loves human life teach other people's children that there are no consequences to that sexual behavioral choice as they do in Barney Frankland in the name of atheism's "diversity" doctrines?

Which leads to the next issue. People are often willing to suffer and die for their addictions and some addictions are more deadly - or quicker - than others. Homosexual bug chasers are a case in point; they are people who are suicidal and who do not care if they live or die or suffer and do not care if they kill and make others suffer - for their addiction. War, pestilence, and death; that is what can be scientifically measured as the outcomes of human sin or human rules of behavior laid out in the Bible.

Liberals are trying to substitute smokers for sodomites in our society's view of danger. But smoking is not nearly as deadly or mentally twisted as a lifestyle of sodomy in actual consequences which can be measured and proven in scientific terms.
