I haven't seen anybody else mention the FDR links, but if you look into OWI (and the prior Federal One Project, which included Federal Writers, Theatre, Art, and Music Projects) and compare it with who was involved in Mockingbird, the links are there.

The Kennedy family's ties to the Washington Post during the Watergate scandal are interesting.
