Posted on 02/06/2006 6:08:53 AM PST by ken5050
Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

I didn't think torture was supposed to be the focus of these hearings. The common thread is inherent authority of the executive. How far can the Presindet go, without answering to the law, Congress, and/or the courts?

Biden openly laughed at an answer that Gonzales gave.
Graham is trying to get more power for himself and wants to meet with the administration to discuss ways to help. (Yuck)

Goober Graham is all over the map. Levin is going to be all over him this evening. He's "really concerned" that there are no checks and balances.
I wonder if I should let him know that I'm concerned that he gives me a rather bad pain in my arse.

I don't believe a word that Carter says. Read the review of his book in the National Review. Boy, it tears up Carter's assertions and documents that where he is lying through his toothy and smarmy smile and concludes w/the statement that he is not a likeable man.

I hate to tell you, but an article in a SC newspaper recently said that Graham remains popular with his constituency.
This is a sad reflection on the schools here that people don't understand what a POS Graham really is. Just my opinion, of course :-)
However, it may be that SC is going through a sea change from one of the most staunchly conservative states to a more moderate state, in part due to the large influx of retirees moving here from the blue states.
