Posted on 02/06/2006 6:08:53 AM PST by ken5050
Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

Graham: It would be easy for a business person dealing in the Middle East to be caught up in something that is innocent.
I'd like the administration to sit down with DeWine and others that will give guidance to people fighting the war, etc.
(Anything Graham introduces is a bad idea, imo)

Wonder what's going through Session's mind as Graham speaks?

I think it's highly ironic that Lindsay is lecturing us about
5th columns. If we had 'em in parties, he'd certainly join!

I guess it was a technical problem, cause they managed to get Schumer on for a bit....but cut away because the hearings were commencing again.

I heard Carter blandly tell Larry King that "We won the 2000 election." Really? If that is so President Carter can GWB run for a second term?

Graham talking about a fifth column.
Why dosen't he just cut to the chase and narrow it down to the New York Times column?

Oooh - Graham says that the President has inherent authority to investigate fifth column movements, but he thinks there needs to be a check on that power (i.e., court warrant).
Easy for enemy to call innocent people and "spoof" the system. LOL. Pretty funny.
Graham is right - in time of war, the guy with the biggest guns ALWAYS wins. Lincoln was able to successfully deny habeas, in the face of court orders to the contrary.

I THAT aspect I have to agree with Biden...that this hearing is like the Alito hearing. Yeah, duh..."Plugs, put the same group of dimwitted blowhards in the same room, in front of a TV camera, with a microphone and you expect different results?!?"
That Biden he's a sharp one, eh?!? First time I've ever agreed with Plugs on ANYTHING!

5th column movement??? Sounds a lot like the 12th man and that will get them sued by Texas A&M.
