Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..
Oh well, Leahy is back and "curious" again. Yep I just bet he is.
Oh geez...it's Monday, isn't it? Thanks for the "24" reminder.
Leahy: When did the Bush admin. come to the conclusion that the authorization of force against AQ permitted warrantless wiretapping within the US.
Gonzales: The authorization of this program began subsequent to the authorization to use force. And prior to the Patriot Act.
Only if your Democratic Senator approves it or the Supreme court....LOL!
is s/b in
I say we start an email campaign to Frist to bring this thing to a floor vote.
Leahy: So what you call the foreign terrorist act, I'm going to call the breaking of the FISA Act.
POS
Fine .. vote it out of law and Go on record
phone calls work better
The only area of valid concern I have heard today with regard to the powers of the president is where the authority ends. Having said that though, these @ssclowns really believe that the administration wants to pillage against innocent people.
They are truly delusional.
I'm trying to get things done, cuz I WON'T miss "24" for anyone or anything. LOL!
This one?
I snapped this photo yesterday in my neighbor's tree!
I am in trouble then, I love black olives.
There coming to take me away, ha ha, ho ho, he he............
Gonzales: That's an operational detail. I'm here to talk about legal anlysis.
Leahy: When did you make the determination?
Gonzales: From the outset, ... Leahy interrupts.
Pss't - Gonzales -- amend FISA by putting terrorist organizations, recited in 1801(a)(4), as one of the entities that does not require a warrant under 50 USC 1802(a).

(A) the electronic surveillance is solely directed at--
(i) the acquisition of the contents of communications transmitted by means of communications used exclusively between or among foreign powers, as defined in section 1801 (a)(1), (2), or (3) [insert "(4)" here] of this title
1801 As used in this subchapter:
