The horns of a dilemma! My late puppy was a bird dog and I *told* her that this whistling bobwhite on a Quail Springs commercial was a real quail, so her ears always pricked up when it came on and she started going into a point. My DH was furious. Luckily, she got to meet lots of real ones and she also figured out the TV wasn't "real life" and ignored it until she left us.
The dog just figures it's seeing something that was real somewhere.
My problem is trying to stop the dog from trying to steer my car.
