I never heard of high school refs being bought off, just biased.
No, if the refs are fair and right, you don't remember their name. All you remember is that you either played well or messed up.
I haven't seen too many biased high school refs, but I've sure seen some BAD ones. Also, I'm on the sidelines every week during high school season. Some of them are really bad.
I would hope you are right.
With parents going so postal with kids in these HS games, I wouldn't doubt there are crazy refs as well.
