This is the same crew that did the Carolina/Chicago game, I believe. They were horrible then.
I'm going to enjoy my Carolina Panthers victory in Super Bowl XLI. See you in 2007!
.all the media salivated over them , most of the crowd were Steeler fans.....I thought the tickets were distributed evenly????.
....and the refs from minute one made sure that Seattle would loose.....
we scored a TD...called back for nonsense on a play that the defender should have been called....penalties that weren't really penalties...Hassellback making a legtit tackle ...what gives with that?
were any holding penalties called on Pitt?.....they grabbed our guys like crazy.....
the Steelers showed nothing except when the MSM wants a particular team to win, nothing is sacred.....
even the supposed "fumble" that wasn't was called for the Steelers immediately...as if they wouldn't hesitate to give the Steelers any advantage...
oh, and that fathom TD where the ball clearly did not cross the endzone....geesh.....
Steelers won, but it was a hollow and suspect win....
They are, the first time, then supply and demand takes over.
Bribes exist elsewhere, why would these people be immune.
I had a friend who had Alexander on his fantasy team. Every week, he had a smile on his face.
This game was hard because my Mom was a big time Steelers (born around Pittsburg) fan when we were growing up and have many fine memories of those 70's superbowls and rooted for them until I moved to to Seattle in 1990.
The steelers are my second favorite team behind the Seahawks. This superbowl was really hard since I really have no personal ill feelings towards the Steelers. But I'm a total Seahawks fans. I wanted them to win no matter what.
I'm sure the Giants, Panthers, Cowboys, and Eagles will be good teams next year. All have solid foundations and good coaching. While superbowl proved that the Seahawks, besides some bad calls by the refs and dropped passes, are one of the best teams in the league, their division (Rams, 49ers, and Cardinals) will give the Seahawks a excellent chance of getting back to the playoffs next season. The Seahawks probably now have a window of about 2 to 3 years to contened for the superbowl, baring career or season ending injuries to their top players.
Oh ye of little faith. I've been a Browns fan since before I could read, and I'll always be a Browns fan. GO Browns!!
I am inclined to believe it too.....not one holding call on Pitt....not one.....and twice their guy was over the line yet never called....
that's why we shouldn't get excited by sports.....they can be manipulated by the big shots.....notice how many commercials ran featuring Steeler players....it was in the bag....
One of the websites running them is called adjab. com -- but I hate to recommend a link I haven't been to.
In the press releases, they're saying that all the sponsors have their own SB ads on their own websites. Budweiser . com has theirs, I know. I haven't checked any others.
I do think Yahoo and Google Video are supposed to have them, but I haven't looked there. Hope you can find them or someone else comes along to point us in the right direction.
Do you know how many bets are made around Super Bowl time ? The NFL wanted Pittsburgh to win this game and they got their wish. It is about money.
These games are not what they used to be.
maybe im just a fan of a NFL team across the Ohio border from Pit...
In real life, that faux lobster and crabmeat for humans that is made out of pollock is called "flake" by my Aussie friend -- and it's now being marketed as that here in the US, too. Maybe "flaked" is the kitty version? LOL
There is no doubt that Vince Lombardi is spinning in his grave.
I remember watching a lot of NFL games in the 90s and the officiating was much better.
this right here was fixed. WWE style.
I doubt that it was intentionally "fixed" but the officials were not being even handed, so much so that I remarked to my husband during the half time theatrics that if I owned the Seahawks, I would have sent them all home at half time, forfeited the game (why bother?) and dissolved the franchise.
$$$$$$$$$$....cha ching...cha ching....cha ching!!!!!!!!
EVERY close call went in favor of Pittsburgh. It is sick. Seattle lost this game BEFORE it started
