WASHINGTON (AP) Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, a potential presidential contender in 2008, "seems to have a lot of anger" and voters usually do not send angry candidates to the White House, the Republican Party chairman said Sunday.
"When you think of the level of anger, I'm not sure it's what Americans want," said Ken Mehlman, head of the Republican National Committee.
Mehlman cited the New York senator's remarks on Martin Luther King Day in which she called the Bush administration "one of the worst" in history and compared the Republican-controlled House to a plantation where opposing voices are silenced.
"I don't think the American people, if you look historically, elect angry candidates. And whether it's the comments about the plantation or the worst administration in history, Hillary Clinton seems to have a lot of anger," Mehlman told ABC's "This Week."
As far as the Republican strategy for 2008, Mehlman said: "We're going to focus on who our candidate's going to be who's going to win."
"I've been saying this for years and mark my words. Hillary Clinton is utterly unelectable as president. "
I have two words in response:
"Ross Perot"
A serious third-party candidate (McCain?) could cause another Clinton to get elected.
"Hillary Clinton is the cancer within the Democrat Party."
That maybe so, but the Democrat's ARE the cancer within America. In fact, they no longer are a political party; see tagline.
Imagine the toss-up between "She Who Must Not Be Looked Upon" and John McCain .... who has a few "anger issues" too.
I don't think Ken Mehlman can bank on what angry voters could do.
Yeah, this just in!
Of course she's angry. She's a New Yorker.
<< The beast has Muslim type anger problems. >>
Why not. She and every muslime is to some degree or another a classicly Narcissistic psychopath.
A serious third-party candidate (McCain?) could cause another Clinton to get elected.
We usually think of it terms like that because it's still relatively fresh in our minds what a disaster the toon was, and that he never would have been POTUS if it wasn't for Perot.
But it's worth considering that a 3rd party may come in and left flank the Beast if she gets the dim nod.
There's some lefties out there who don't like the DNC or the toons at all, so it's at least a possibility with all the other moonbat dims running around that have escaped from various asylums.
An anger problem?
Too bad she doesn't have a drinking problem, or a drug problem, or a heart problem, or a breathing problem, or a
Hillary Clinton can never be elected President.
If a third party candidate runs, like McCain, the fix is in for her election.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me three times, I'm a fool who wants to be fooled.
It may come surprising for you but I know few liberal women here in Massachusetts who cannot stand her and they told me they will vote for Rudi Guliani over her. If she becomes the democrat presidential candidate in 2008, many people will be shocked that how she has lost the women vote by 5 to 10 points. The majority of women will not trust the ultra liberal, mean, arrogant, and fake Hillary Clinton to protect them or their families. Of course she will lose the men vote by 15 to 20 points.
Miss Hitlery is a disaster even when she is choreographed. It is impossible for her to be nice. Impossible for her to even pretend to be nice. She always comes off as a shrew. When did she ever give a speech where she sounded like a nice, sensible human?
If it was McCain as third party, Hillary wouldn't stand a chance. The Dems would all vote for him.
Glad to hear it. All of the conservative women I know won't vote for her, either. Maybe Condi. ;)
These two are nuts that I have to deal with on an occasional basis; it's just smart to stockpile ammo for when they have a few too many martinis and get on their Bush-Bashing soapboxes. *Rolleyes*
I think many here at FR....perhaps myself included...delude ourselves in thinking she has an unequaled power supply and magically can win the presidency just by running.
I'm sure the MSM has convinced/propagandized us into believing this.
Is she a minion of Satan?.....perhaps....
..definitely she does evil, and evil follows her.
But we mustn't factor out God....He is mightier than Hillary OR Satan.
