Thanks. Is there a way for anyone to catch it on the web so we can replay it?
My point is each of us fits into a nitch that we think of as "The world". Problem is the vast bulk of the world is outside our scope of reference. So while people in OUR nitch (here, around us a at work/church/school etc) may have strong views on this or that, but MOST people do not pay that close attention to this stuff. They show up and vote cause they have been "told to" but do not really spend that much time thinking about politics beyond the last two weeks of the election cycle. To try and read the tea leaves more then a month out may entertain us Political Junkies but it is otherwise a completely useless pass time.
Thank you FF
I turned down the sound when Specter came on because he is so full of himself, and appears to be helping the Dems. I believe that Snarlin Arlen is a stealth Pubbie and is just making the dems feel comfortable with him so that all the salient points can be brought out in the hearing and make the Dems look more stuck on hate than they already are. We already know they are stuck on stupid. Russert knows that this is it for the Dems and he is showing his ample a$$ so obviously because it is fourth down and goal to go for the dems and they just got knocked back to the 15 yard line(by Bush and Alito) with all the Positive info that has come out lately. He is risking his entire career by looking, acting, sounding like he is paid by the DNC instead of NBC.
They need to get politics out of education and go back to actually teaching kids the basics
Try spellchecking Boeher's name for a grin, too.
Politics out of education? Democrats? Teachers unions?
Yeah, like that's gonna happen.....
ROFLOL
thank you much. I'll just tell people I've 50 until I'm 70
Lately I've heard quite a few state that Pres. Bush is at 39-42% approaval. Is this true or just one poll they're all focusing on? And when will Pres. Bush cease to be the target of their hate...I often wonder what they'll all do in 3 years when he's happily back in Texas! Who will they blame (for everything) then?
Not to worry. You look closer to 50 anyway.
I just took your suggestion about spellchecking Boehner's name. Big laugh!
Your 2 cents is worth 20 dollars in the conventional wisdom market. The party of Sheehan will have to implode completely and be re-built with Zell Millers before they will have any credibility. Think John Kerry bunny suit and Sheehan meeting Chavez at a commie convention, and you have the reason they are not the minority party, not the obscurity party, but the Absurdity party...
There's a difference?
Yes, many don't pay close to politics like we do .. they instead will listen to what their republican and democrat friends say to them
There are a number of issues of concern ... but one of the top ones is the spending .. they are not happy about it
You can tell me I'm wrong till you are blue in the face .. but it doesn't make the problem go away
LOLOL......flattery will get you EVERYWHERE!!!!!
Agree w both of you.
One thing I found a bit interesting last week was the change in the wacko protestors (at least here in Seattle)the night of the SOTU. They had been screaming to 'impeach' Bush. After several had pointed out here and nationally that they didn't think that would happen and why, and, if it did, they Cheney would be Pres, they changed their tune to 'make Bush and Cheney resign'
I also thought it was curious that the turnout wasn't near what it was *supposed* to be for the protests and that they got very little coverage (which is totally unusual). Perhaps it's because the #s were so small or because so many were so fascinated w Kaine's twitching eyebrow and were covering that instead ;-)
I've been wondering about what age a woman has to be before she starts bragging about being that old. LOL (I'm not quite at that stage....yet.)
LOL .. well I didn't say it was gonna happen
Just that is what is needed
