The Talk Shows
Sunday, February 5th, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Gen. Michael Hayden, the principal deputy director of national intelligence; House Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Boehner; Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Gen. Michael Hayden; Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.; Afghan President Hamid Karzai; former interim Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi; Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi ambassador to the United States; Pittsburgh Mayor Bob O'Connor; Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels.
What I snickered about during the MTP interview of Boehner was that Timmy started talking about all the money that Boehner got from "clients" of Abramof. Of course, the Democrats got millions of money from those clients as well -- but that is never raised as an issue. It is so funny to watch these interviews and see the double standard. Old Dim Russert (as Rush calls him) really sinks to another low today in his questioning of Boehner, and yes, I too thought Boehner did a great job in his responses.
My "memes and guests" post relied heavily on what came up during the research and reading from the preview thread from yesterday. I don't know if it helped anyone else, but it gave me a chance to prep for what to look for.
so far I've only seen Timmy's interview with Boehner and it seems that I was able to pick up on that one OK (of course that's like predicting that the sun will come up in the morning).
I'm only up to post 83 in reading myself, so I'll see what I've missed so far that others have caught.
And, yes, mystery-ak, I did spend a fair amount of time on that post, mostly late yesterday. My eye surgeon took out a whole bunch of stitches in my cornea yesterday, the last ones from my most recent transplant 3 years ago (this getting set for cataract surgery in a few weeks). The only thing I felt up to was sitting in a dark room and surfing the web. I decided doing that research was more interesting than rading about the SuperBowl for the umpteenth time. It was fun to find the stuff that I did and I really enjoyed reading the pieces that others pointed me to.
Democrat supporters are motivated by their irrational Bush hatred. Not much of a winning agenda is it? President Bush appears sincere and is trusted by the people. Democrats are proving they are not.
Good luck with your upcoming surgery....
For the record, yes, I just caught Juan being right. It was an exhilarating experience to see this novel event, and I hope he feels good about himself for reaching a new personal high.
Don't you think that Barone reads the internals of these polls?......I've always trusted his opinion...
And I make no apologies about being guilty of discrimination...

As my dear grandmother used to say, and she was a high school graduate in 1902 - her diploma probably signified as much as a Bachelor's degree these days, "I can remember when 'discriminating' was a nice word."
Thanks for that link.
Ya think maybe someone will follow him home? Like a UAV with a Hellfire on board?
35 ft. of rain???????????????????????????????????????????
"he looked embarrassed giving the response..."
#####
He certainly looked as if he was tapdancing in that answer. Pathetic!
Republican corruption is SO bad that numerous Democrats are going to be indicted and embarassed before it's all over.
I agree a Steeler Win would help Swann gain more support.
I met Swann several weeks ago, he has a conservative message. He has a great attitude which will help him.
Hopefully, he will be interviewed sometime today from Detroit. Swann is one of those people you cannot help but like.
Very true another word that the left has hijacked and has made a new meaning out of so that we can no longer use. Sad but true one can no longer use the word gay in its original meaning.
