Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Boehner; Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Gen. Michael Hayden; Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.; Afghan President Hamid Karzai; former interim Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi; Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi ambassador to the United States; Pittsburgh Mayor Bob O'Connor; Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels.
As you know Spectoer somes from Eastern PA where Dems are in control, and I strongly suspect he gets all the state-wide union votes.
Yes, they do. People complain about a hypothetical imperial presidency but it's these US Senators that seem to think they are the closest thing to God.
I wish Bush would be a little less predictable with his politics as usual. He should become a little more outspoken and fight back. He does not play hardball with these foolish Democrats. He should listen to Michael Savage a little more and learn to speak out against a Kennedy, Boxer or Schummer. Instead, he walks around and plays nice guy. Politics is not about being a nice guy.
The stakes are too high!
somes=comes
I am certain many candidates that both the President and Vice President spoke for during the last campaign were not always in tune with their view and vice versa.
At the end of the day it is politics
"put fat tim under oath."
Great post we all wish it.
I would LOVE to see televised hearings with Russert under oath and having to answer direct questions over it all. I would bet the farm Russert is not as well versed as he appears on his TV program.
LOL!
Never watch Lauer and the perky one.
No, that would be Matt Hasselbeck (BIL of Elizabeth, the sole conservative on 'The View') and Sean Alexander (NFL MVP). BTW - both are going to the Pro Bowl, too.
It's only at FR that I get this behind the scenes info!! Thanks.
Pretty much everything in the 90s needs to be stated with an asterisk. The Clinton years of aberration.
I agree. He'd be lost without his DNC talking points.
Finally, lobbying is very bi-partisan.
Why don't they mention the lobbying done by NARAL, NOW, People for the American Way, moveon.org, Barbra, etc., etc., to the Dims
"he-man WANNABE Bush haters club"
There, fixed it.
Agreed! Gaining seats over the past three elections is historically a first since FDR I think. Not that the MSM will tell us about it.....
Boy does Tim Russert really have it out for the Republicans. Everythings their fault, Bush broke the law, Bush lied, Abrahmoff is a Repubbies scandal..... Russert makes me sick. He also dies his hair too black and he looks like an @$$.
Specter is not a conservative. He is tied to the liberal wing of the Democrat Party. He put Kennedy in his place once or twice during the hearings, but, he usually caves in on that committee. It would be a refreshing change, if he would become more sensible during the hearings on Monday.
Did Donaldson just say that we should exercise "responsibility" and not publish the Danish cartoons?
WHAT ABOUT THE NY SLIMES PRINTING THE ILLEGAL DISCLOSURE ON THE TOP SECRET TERRORIST SURVEILLANCE PROGRAM???
Was that "responsible" use of the free press?
I bet he was the first guy that came out against it? right?
Being President means he cannot be seen to sink to their level he is after all President of whole of America.
Well, I hope Sen Specter was just trying to make Timmy boy feel good about the upcoming NSA hearings. But, you are very correct. He did hold is own with Timmy boy and smacked him down a couple of times.
