Ex-president Bill Clinton defended his wife Hillary on Friday for claiming last month that the GOP-led Congress was being run like a "plantation," adding that he thought House Democrats were being treated like "sharecroppers."
Asked if he agreed with Mrs. Clinton's comment, the ex-president told WCBS Radio's Peter Maer: "Oh, absolutely I do. And it had no racial overtones."
"It was more about the arbitrary and complete exercise of power and control," he contended."
Clinton cited an unnamed farmer-turned-congressman from East Arkansas who told him he agreed with Hillary as well. "I wouldn't say we were slaves," Clinton quoted the congressman as saying. "We're more like sharecroppers."
The ex-president then added, "Another member of the United States Congress who worked on a plantation as a boy came up and thanked my wife for saying that."
After offering racially tinged anecdotes, Mr. Clinton again insisted that Hillary "absolutely meant nothing racial by it."
"I defend her, I think she did the right thing," he said. "And I think that's why the Black Caucus defended her."
The dems are losers and have no agenda, so they have lots of time for 'sob stories' and lying.
When the Dems ran the House, they would lock Republican congressmen out of attending committee meetings, provided Republicans with a fraction of the staff the Dems now enjoy as the minority party, and made it clear to lobbyists that any financial support of Republican congressmen would be the kiss of death for items of legislation that the lobbyists wanted passed. And let's not forget the cover up of massive corruption and scandals like Barney Frank's boyfriend having sex with him in the congressional gym and running a male prostitution ring from Frank's home. A Republican would have been removed from Congress for such misconduct. Of course there was Jim Wright's phony book sales to Teamsters, the Rottenkowski shenanigans, etc. It wasn't a plantation under the Democrats...it was the debauchery of Rome under Nero.
So what does this say about Mr. Clinton's treatment of Monica? Would Monica have been a "share slopper"? And what would Mrs. Clinton have to say of the "shares" that Mr. Clinton delivered to Monica? Would Mrs. Clinton have lapped that up?
Yeah, yeah, yeah Billy boy and you witnessed black churches being burned, in Arkansas, when you were bitty; even though that never happened. LOL
You know he sat in the back of the bus for Rosa Parks.
LOL
Thanks so much, yes that one is mine! I call myself a headhunter, lol, always cutting out peoples heads for graphics! Bill Clinton is a little 'wan' in that one, I need a better head of him.
The republican party was formed to fight the abuses of the democrat plantations.
LOL. Well that's a step up from being a field slave on a plantation.
Golly! The she had the same look on her face when Bush made that crack about his "brother." Bill.
Liar.
Better not ask GW to actually comment. He'll defend the impeached one. (Ya know, it's that ex-president / "Two-Party Cartel" thing). Remember that Islam is a religion of peace & the illegals are only here for work. GULP!
Next, House Dems will be treated like the victims of lynch mobs. Not long afterwards, they'll be forced to sit at the back of the bus. After that, they'll be treated like newly-integrated schoolchildren. Next, they'll start referring to themselves as "Democratic Americans". Hopefully by the time November rolls around, they'll be treated as welfare queens and given a special holiday.
Right On! So why does GW let them off of the hook by his favorable mentioning?
W worked with moderate Dems in Texas as governor. He somehow believes that the same bipartisan outreach will work with moonbat Dems in D.C. Why he believes this after 5 years of mudslinging by the Dems is beyond me.
Why in the world would ANYONE care what that pathetic, narcissistic, self-absorbed, megalomaniac, moron says????
Help free Hillary from the Plantation!
Vote REPUBLICAN In 2006! Your Underground Railroad to FREEDOM!!!
Great line, but you have a typo.
