For those of us who remember when Democrats ran the house and how Republicans were treated, this is just too damn funny. When the Dems ran the House, they would lock Republican congressmen out of attending committee meetings, provided Republicans with a fraction of the staff the Dems now enjoy as the minority party, and made it clear to lobbyists that any financial support of Republican congressmen would be the kiss of death for items of legislation that the lobbyists wanted passed. And let's not forget the cover up of massive corruption and scandals like Barney Frank's boyfriend having sex with him in the congressional gym and running a male prostitution ring from Frank's home. A Republican would have been removed from Congress for such misconduct. Of course there was Jim Wright's phony book sales to Teamsters, the Rottenkowski shenanigans, etc. It wasn't a plantation under the Democrats...it was the debauchery of Rome under Nero.

Regarding Clinton's claim that an Arkansas congresscritter used the expression, "we're more like sharecroppers," the only people who fit the bill for eastern Arkansas are Congressman Mike Ross and Congresswoman Marion Berry. What will you bet that both deny they ever said it???
